Omschrijving onderdeel 3a: INRIJHEK MET AANSLUITENDE TUINMUUR.
Omschrijving
Het omstreeks 1730 door D. Marot ontworpen INRIJHEK bestaat uit twee wijd uit elkaar staande hekstijlen. De stijlen zijn bekleed met natuursteen in een blokkenpatroon met ingezwenkte hoeken. Onder de bekroning bevindt zich het wapenschild De Neufville. De bekroning bestaat uit een gedrukte pompoenvorm met een rand van accanthusblad. Binnen de hekpijlers staat het fraai gedecoreerde smeedijzeren hek, bestaande uit aan beide zijden een vastdeel en een draaiend deel. Aan de buitenzijde staan twee kanonslopen bij wijze van schamppalen voor het hek. Het hek is gerestaureerd. Aansluitend aan het hek is een tuinmuur gemetseld bestaande uit muurdammen waartussen gemetselde velden afgesloten met een tandlijst en daarboven een natuurstenen lijst. Deze opzet is conform die uit de 18de eeuw, maar delen van de muur zijn vernieuwd dan wel geheel nieuw zoals ter plaatse van het afgebroken huis Meer en Berg.
Meest oorspronkelijk is het zuidelijke deel m.n. in combinatie met het kleine (portiers ?)huisje en het vierkante dienstgebouw.
Waardering
Het INRIJHEK MET AANSLUITENDE TUINMUUR is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege zijn plaats in het oeuvre van D. Marot;
- vanwege de gaaf bewaarde monumentale opzet van de ingangspartij;
- in relatie tot het ensemble van de naastgelegen bebouwing van koepel en het koetshuis.

Description
The ENTRANCE GATE designed by D. Marot around 1730 consists of two widely spaced gate piers. The piers are clad with natural stone in a block pattern with bevelled corners. Beneath the capping is the De Neufville coat of arms. The capping consists of a compressed pumpkin shape with a border of acanthus leaf. Within the gate piers stands the finely decorated wrought-iron gate, consisting of a fixed part and a moving part on both sides. On the outside stand two cannon barrels as chamfered posts in front of the gate. The gate has been restored. Adjacent to the gate is a garden wall of masonry consisting of wall sections with masonry fields between them, closed off with a tooth moulding and above it a natural stone list. This configuration conforms to that from the 18th century, but parts of the wall have been renewed or are entirely new, such as where the house Meer en Berg was demolished.
Most original is the southern part, particularly in combination with the small (porter's?) house and the square service building.
Valuation
The ENTRANCE GATE WITH ADJOINING GARDEN WALL is of general importance:
