Omschrijving
Inleiding.
STATION van de voormalige halte Seppe, in 1855 als dienstwoning gebouwd in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl en in 1884 vergroot en tot station opgewaardeerd. In 1999 in gebruik als winkel.
Omschrijving.
Eenlaags voormalig stationsgebouw opgetrokken uit handvorm baksteen in kruisverband met siermetselwerk, hoekblokken en lijsten in rood, geel en grijs. Het flauw hellende zadeldak met overstek is gedekt met gesmoorde kruispannen, deels nog voorzien van keperpatroon in rood. Op de hoeken gemetselde hoekblokken.
Aan de noordzijde een eenlaags aanbouw onder plat dak. Aan de zuidzijde een uitgebouwde erker onder plat met deurpartij en bovenlicht met kleine roedenverdeling. Links ervan twee zesruits ramen, rechts twee ramen met afgeschuinde hoeken en gedeelde bovenlichten. Het linkerraan met openslaand vierruits venster, het rechter met ongedeeld benedenlicht. In de korte oostgevel een identiek raam en een tweedelig zolderlicht met keperboog. Aan de noordzijde een aanbouw onder plat dak met vier- en zesruits ramen en een deur met gedeeld bovenlicht. In de korte westgevel een zesruits raam. Inwendig is gebouw uiterst eenvoudig. Enkele stucplafonds en een keukenschoorsteen zijn bewaard gebleven. Aan de westzijde staat een bakstenen toiletgebouwtje onder schilddak met bolpirons uit ca. 1910-1920. Opgeklampte deur en enkele hooggeplaatste ramen.
Waardering.
Het voormalige station is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als herinnering aan de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van het Noord-Brabantse platteland, door de aanleg van spoorlijnen. Het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van station en nevengebouwen, met name vanwege de uitgroei van dienstwoning tot halteplaats. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de bouwgeschiedenis en als representant van de sobere bouwstijl die voor kleine plattelandsstations gepast werd geacht. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven. Het is als combinatie van een plattelandshalte met dienstwoning uniek in Noord-Brabant.

Single-storey former station building erected from hand-made brick in English bond with ornamental brickwork, corner blocks and mouldings in red, yellow and grey. The gently sloping gabled roof with overhang is covered with dampened crossing pantiles, partly still provided with herringbone pattern in red. On the corners decorative brickwork corner blocks.
On the north side a single-storey extension under flat roof. On the south side a projecting oriel under flat roof with door section and fanlight with small glazing bars. To the left of this two six-pane windows, to the right two windows with bevelled corners and divided fanlights. The left window with opening four-pane casement, the right with undivided lower pane. In the short east facade an identical window and a two-part loft light with herringbone arch. On the north side an extension under flat roof with four- and six-pane windows and a door with divided fanlight. In the short west facade a six-pane window. Internally the building is extremely simple. Several stucco ceilings and a kitchen chimney have been preserved. On the west side stands a brick toilet building under hipped roof with ornamental ridge tiles from ca. 1910-1920. Clasped door and several high-positioned windows.
Evaluation.
The former station is of general interest. It has cultural-historical value as a reminder of the socio-economic development of the North Brabant countryside, through the laying of railway lines. It is likewise of importance for the typological development of station and ancillary buildings, in particular because of the development from official residence to halt. It has architectural-historical value because of its construction history and as a representative of the modest building style that was considered appropriate for small countryside stations. It has been preserved in good condition. It is unique in North Brabant as a combination of a countryside halt with an official residence.
