Introduction.

Located on the south side of the complex, standing freely on three sides, a deep SCHOOLMASTER'S DWELLING built in Eclecticist style. Description.

The partially cellared single-storey dwelling with parapet has a gabled roof covered with black newly improved Dutch pantiles with scalloped wind ridges with clips and lies with the ridge perpendicular to the road. At the roof line a list gutter below which on the south facade a white-plastered moulding, on the north facade a plastered round-arch frieze. On the roof two chimneys and a roof light. The plot is above the plastered plinth constructed in English bond brickwork with cut joints on the front facade. The front facade is bounded by blocked plastered corner pilasters. In the facade field below lie two large six-pane sash windows under segmental arch, on the attic storey a four-pane window with the same closure above it with above it a facade stone with arms. Here lie the stair to the cellar and the straight flight stair to the attic storey, where on the front and rear sides lie rooms and a bathroom. In the interior are of importance, among others: the original windows with fold-away shutters; all doors are panelled doors; stucco decoration with floral and bird motifs around the light opening in the living room; wainscoting and beam ceiling in kitchen and study; the black-and-white 'Escher motif' of the tile floor in the vestibule.

Valuation.

The plot is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of the development of education and as an example of the typological development of the schoolmaster's dwelling. It has architectural-historical value because of the aesthetic quality of the design and the detailing and is as an intact example of a schoolmaster's dwelling important for domestic architecture.
