HERENHUIS in Eclectische stijl uit 1889. Het huis ligt in de gevelwand van de Stationsstraat, die vanaf 1870 is ontwikkeld na de aanleg van de spoorlijn door de stad.
Omschrijving
Het huis heeft twee bouwlagen met een zolderverdieping. Het wordt gedekt door een mansardedak. Het dak is gedeeltelijk voorzien van leien en zink. De voorgevel is zes traveeën breed. Vijf ervan vormen een symmetrische geheel met een middenrisaliet, die in het dak wordt bekroond door een gemetselde kapel voorzien van drie in trapvorm geplaatste pinakels. In de kapel een getoogd venster met bovenlicht. De risaliet bevat de hoofdingang van het huis in een rondboogportiek met frontaal drie hardstenen treden, een dubbele gesneden teakhouten voordeur met bossingpanelen en smeedijzeren doorzichtroosters. Hierboven op de tweede bouwlaag een hardstenen balkon met vierkante vaasvormige zinken balusters. Het balkon is bereikbaar via dubbele balkondeuren voorzien van een getoogd bovenlicht. De andere traveeën hebben op zowel de eerste als op de tweede bouwlaag een getoogd schuifvenster. De vensters op de begane grond zijn voorzien van houten rolluiken. De risalerende zijingang, in de zesde travee, is uitgevoerd als een zogenaamd Antwerps poortje in hardsteen met een rondboog in het bovenlicht. De teakhouten deur heeft zwaar smeedijzeren beslag. Beide ingangspartijen worden geflankeerd door vaasvormige gecanneleerde pilasters. Een oeil de boeuf tussen lijsten en voluutstenen bekroont het poortje. Hierboven op de tweede bouwlaag een halfrond hardstenen balkon met ronde vaasvormige zinken balusters. Het balkon is bereikbaar via dubbele balkondeuren voorzien van een getoogd bovenlicht. De achtergevel is vijf traveeën breed. Hierin getoogde vensters en deuren. Aansluitend bevindt zich een eenlaags achterhuis met zolderverdieping gedekt door een zadeldak voorzien van Oudhollandse pannen en windveren. Ook hierin getoogde vensters en deuren met in de kopgevel een laaddeur.
Het opgaande werk van het huis bestaat uit rode handgevormde baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband. De muuropeningen zijn voorzien van een segmentboog. De gevels worden afgesloten door een fries. De voorgevel heeft bovendien een hardstenen basement, cordonlijst, speklagen en voluutvormige hardstenen sluitstenen. In de fries meerkleurig tegelwerk waarin tien voluutvormige stenen consoles zijn opgenomen die de kroonlijst dragen.
Het huis heeft een rijk interieur. De hal heeft drie gestucte kruisgewelven tussen rondbogen rustend op pilasters met mascarons. De vloer en lambrizering zijn van wit geaderd marmer. De beide spiegelglazen in de dubbele tochtdeuren, gesigneerd Bouvy Dordt, zijn voorzien van geslepen en gezandstraalde vazen met bloemen. Bordestrappen met kuipstukken, leuningwrongen, gesneden trappaal en balusters. De trappen naar de tweede bouwlaag zijn van eikenhout.
De kamers op de begane grond hebben bewerkte stucplafonds. De voorkamers hebben een marmeren schouw. Aan de linkerkant bevindt zich een kamer-en-suite met parketvloer, die via een houten portiek met glas-in-lood schuifdeuren met elkaar in verbinding staan.

The projection contains the main entrance of the house in a round-arched portico with frontally three hardstone steps, a double carved teak wood front door with raised-panel sections and wrought-iron pass-throughs. Above this on the second storey a hardstone balcony with square vase-shaped zinc balusters. The balcony is accessible via double balcony doors furnished with a round-arched fanlight. The other bays have on both the first and the second storey a round-arched sash window. The windows on the ground floor are furnished with wooden rolling shutters. The projecting side entrance, in the sixth bay, is executed as a so-called Antwerp gatelet in hardstone with a round arch in the fanlight. The teak wood door has heavy wrought-iron fittings. Both entrance sections are flanked by vase-shaped fluted pilasters. An oeil de boeuf between mouldings and scroll-shaped stones crowns the gatelet. Above this on the second storey a semicircular hardstone balcony with round vase-shaped zinc balusters. The balcony is accessible via double balcony doors furnished with a round-arched fanlight.
