Inleiding De KERKHOFKAPEL van het klooster Onze Lieve Vrouwe van Koningsoord werd van 1933-'37 in sobere Neo-Gotische stijl gebouwd naar plannen van architect J. van Dijk. Het klooster is vanuit Chimay gesticht voor de zusters Trappistinnen en werd grotendeels betaald door het eveneens in Berkel-Enschot gesitueerde trappistenklooster Koningshoeven.
Omschrijving De kleine kerkhofkapel bestaat uit een onder zadeldak gesitueerd gebouwtje, gedekt met eternitleien Aan de oostelijke zijde, in de as van het kerkhofpad, een kleine uitbouw met overhoeks geplaatste steunberen, steekkap en topgevel bekroond door een kruis.
Waardering De kerkhofkapel is van algemeen belang. Het gebouwtje heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als uitdrukking van een culturele en geestelijke ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van nieuwe kloostervestigingen in de negentiende en twintigste eeuw, het is van belang als uitdrukking van de typologische ontwikkeling van het contemplatieve vrouwenklooster. Introduction The CEMETERY CHAPEL of the monastery Our Lady of Koningsoord was built from 1933-'37 in sober Neo-Gothic style according to plans by architect J. van Dijk. The monastery was founded from Chimay for the Trappist sisters and was largely paid for by the Trappist monastery Koningshoeven, also situated in Berkel-Enschot.
Description The small cemetery chapel consists of a small building situated under a gabled roof, covered with asbestos slate. On the eastern side, in the axis of the cemetery path, a small extension with diagonally placed buttresses, half-hipped roof and spire gable crowned by a cross.
