Inleiding
Dubbel WOONHUIS, gebouwd in samenhang met het bedrijfsgebouw in een vergelijkbare maar soberder bouwstijl. Het pand bevindt zich aan de Lanciersstraat, verbonden met het bedrijfsgebouw door een poort.
Nr. 73 huisvest anno 1998 een kinderdagverblijf.
Omschrijving
Het dubbele woonhuis is twee lagen hoog op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een plat dak. Aan de voorgevel op de begane grond uitstekende erkers met zijlichten in de vorm van laddervensters. De buitenhoeken van de erkers zijn voorzien van gemetselde plantenbakken. Tussen de erkers iets terugliggende deuren. Een doorlopende betonnen luifel verbindt erkers en deurpartij. Op de verdieping een achttal rechthoekige ramen. Tussen en onder de ramen uitstekende sierblokken. Het achterste deel van de woningen is lager.
Waardering
Het gebouw is van algemeen belang. Het is van cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, namelijk de totstandkoming van industriegebouwen met dienstwoningen nabij een haven met aansluiting op het kanalenstelsel en is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de gebouwen voor de graanhandel. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens materiaalgebruik en de voor een dienstwoning betrekkelijk uitzonderlijke en rijke detaillering en vormgeving. Het is van belang als voorbeeld van het vroege werk van de architect. Het heeft industrieel-archeologische waarde. Met name het exterieur is gaaf bewaard gebleven en in samenhang met de haven een karakteristiek en zeldzaam voorbeeld van een handelsgebouw uit het Interbellum.

Description
The double dwelling house is two storeys high on a rectangular floor plan under a flat roof. On the front façade on the ground floor projecting bay windows with side lights in the form of ladder windows. The outer corners of the bay windows are provided with mortared plant boxes. Between the bay windows slightly set back doors. A continuous concrete canopy connects the bay windows and door section. On the upper storey eight rectangular windows. Between and below the windows projecting ornamental blocks. The rear part of the dwellings is lower.
