Inleiding
Ensemble van twee VEESHELTERS gebouwd in 1937 naar ontwerp van J.W. Janzen, onderdeel van de in de jaren 1936-1937 in opdracht van William Smith tot stand gekomen complex landgoed Strypemonde. De veeshelters staan op de grote weide, aan weerszijden van de vijver aan de rand van het bos.
Omschrijving
Twee aan de bosrand staande veeshelters opgetrokken in hout en afgesloten met rietgedekte kappen. Eén van de shelters heeft een ovale plattegrond en is voorzien van een rechtgesloten gevelopening zonder deur en een vorst met gesmoorde pannen op het schilddak. De tweede, kleinere shelter heeft een vierkante plattegrond en een met zink beklede nokpunt op het tentdak.

Description
Two livestock shelters standing at the woodland edge erected in wood and finished with reed-thatched roofs. One of the shelters has an oval floor plan and is provided with a straight-closed gable opening without a door and a ridge with swept tiles on the hipped roof. The second, smaller shelter has a square floor plan and a zinc-clad ridge point on the tent roof.
