Inleiding
VOETGANGERSBRUG behorende bij het in de jaren 1936-1937 in opdracht van James van Hoey Smith tot stand gekomen complex landgoed Strypemonde. De brug over de vijver is gebouwd naar ontwerp van architect J.W. Janzen.
Omschrijving
De brug vormt de verbinding tussen een grasveld achter het huis en een weiland dat door bos wordt omzoomd. De geheel van hout vervaardigde brug heeft een gebogen brugdek tussen eveneens gebogen opstaande randen met een opwaartse, met paaltjes verbonden welving aan huiszijde en een houten hek aan de andere zijde. Het hekwerk bestaat uit twee conische hekpalen met daartussen een uit liggers, staanders en een kruisverbinding van diagonalen samengesteld draaihek, die gezamelijk een decoratief patroon vormen. De brug steunt op houten palen.
