Omschrijving
SCHUUR (SCHAAPSKOOI) behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Darthuizen. Ten noordoosten van het hoofdgebouw staat een schuur, waarvan de oorsprong teruggaat tot de tijd dat er een boerderijcomplex op het terrein gelegen was. Vermoedelijk bevinden zich ten noorden van het huidige huis nog de fundamenten van de boerderij die van dit complex het middelpunt vormde, de plaats wordt gemarkeerd door een tweetal oude leilindes. De schuur is opgetrokken uit rode baksteen, heeft een nagenoeg rechthoekige plattegrond en bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder een met riet gedekt schilddak, waarvan de schilden aan de korte zijden enigszins bol verlopen en in het midden iets opgetrokken zijn om meer ruimte te creëeren voor de ingangspartijen. Aan de westzijde bestaat de ingang uit een eenvoudige, dubbele inrijdeur waarboven verticaal beschot met twee meerruits-kantelramen, aan de oostzijde eenzelfde invulling, waarbij de deuren op ooghoogte voorzien zijn van meerruitsvensters. De zijgevels zijn ieder voorzien van vier meerruitsvensters. De schuur dateert in oorsprong uit de late 18de of de 19de eeuw, maar werd na een brand in de jaren '30 van de 20ste eeuw in dezelfde vorm herbouwd.

Description
BARN (SHEEP HOUSE) belonging to the historical estate Darthuizen. To the northeast of the main building stands a barn, whose origins date back to the time when there was a farm complex on the site. The foundations of the farm which formed the centre of this complex are presumably located to the north of the current house; the place is marked by a pair of old lime trees. The barn is constructed of red brick, has an almost rectangular ground plan and consists of one storey under a thatched hipped roof, the hipped ends of which have a slight curve and are raised somewhat in the middle to create more space for the entrance sections. On the west side the entrance consists of a simple, double carriage door above which vertical boards with two multi-pane casement windows, on the east side the same filling, whereby the doors are provided with multi-pane windows at eye level. The side façades are each provided with four multi-pane windows. The barn dates in origin from the late 18th or 19th century, but was rebuilt in the same form after a fire in the 1930s.
