Omschrijving onderdeel 12 (Rijksstraatweg 319, 321): HUIS DARTHEIDE of Nieuw Broekhuizen, behorend bij de buitenplaats Broekhuizen.
Aan de Rijksstraatweg gelegen huis, ten noorden van Broekhuizen. In 1817 tot stand gekomen als een blokvormig, licht gepleisterd landhuis met middenrisaliet, bekroond door een fronton. Het telt drie bouwlagen, een souterrain, bel-etage en kapverdieping. In 1899 is het huis verbouwd, waarbij de kap werd gewijzigd waardoor het fronton kwam te vervallen en een uitbouw aan de voorzijde en een veranda aan de achterzijde werden toegevoegd. De afwerking van het interieur werd toen eveneens onder handen genomen. De gevel aan de weg telt vier assen, die aan de tuinzijde vijf. Hierin bevindt zich in het midden de (oorspronkelijke) toegang tot het huis. De oorspronkelijke vensters ter hoogte van de veranda zijn in 1899 gewijzigd in openslaande deuren. De veranda heeft sierlijk gesneden stijlen met korbelen, met ajourwerk in de bovenste gedeelten. In de linkerzijgevel van de weg af gezien ziet in het souterrain een bediendentoegang. De gevels van de bel-etage worden afgesloten door een omlopende geprofileerde lijst. De dakschilden zijn met zinken losanges belegd.
INTERIEUR: Sedert de bouw is de indeling van het inwendige niet veranderd. Alleen de zolder is in het begin van de 20ste eeuw onderverdeeld in diverse kamers.

Description of component 12 (Rijksstraatweg 319, 321): HUIS DARTHEIDE or Nieuw Broekhuizen, belonging to the country estate Broekhuizen.
A house situated on the Rijksstraatweg, north of Broekhuizen. Completed in 1817 as a blocky, lightly rendered country house with a central risalit, crowned by a pediment. It has three storeys, a basement, piano nobile and attic storey. In 1899 the house was remodelled, during which the roof was altered causing the pediment to disappear and an extension on the front and a veranda on the rear were added. The interior decoration was also attended to at that time. The facade facing the road has four bays, which on the garden side has five. The (original) entrance to the house is situated in the middle of the latter. The original windows at the level of the veranda were altered in 1899 into French doors. The veranda has decoratively carved posts with corbels, with fretwork in the upper sections. In the left side facade as seen from the road there is a servants' entrance in the basement. The facades of the piano nobile are terminated by a continuous moulded string course. The roof tiles are covered with zinc lozenges.
INTERIOR: Since its construction the layout of the interior has not changed. Only the attic was subdivided into several rooms at the beginning of the 20th century.
