Inleiding
Het graf van de familie Nizet bevindt zich vooraan op de begraafplaats rechts vlakbij de hoofdingang aan de zuidzijde. Datering XIX B. Gedenkteken werd vervaardigd door J. Geelen te Roermond. De toegepaste bouwstijl is beïnvloed door het Neo-classicisme. De familie Nizet behoorde tot de belangrijkste ondernemersfamilies van Roermond.
Omschrijving
Imposant gedenkteken op hardstenen basement. Hierop een zandstenen sarcofaag met hardstenen bovenplaat waarop een ten hemel wijzende engel en een knielende vrouw. Beide figuren bevinden zich aan weerszijden van de te ruste gelegde overledene. Op de sarcofaag is een witmarmeren gedenkplaat aangebracht met het opschrift "Rustplaats Familie Nizet". De gedenkplaat bevindt zich in een decoratieve omlijsting. De sarcofaag is versierd met bladornamenten, lauwerkransen, rozen, palmtakken en een kruis. Op de hoeken van de sarcofaag klauwornamenten. Gedenkteken heeft een gecementeerde bakstenen kern met een zandstenen omhulling. De sculpturen op de sarcofaag zijn geheel in zandsteen uitgevoerd. Aan de voorzijde van de sarcofaag een betegelde vloer met hierin het ijzeren luik naar de grafkelder. IJzeren luik voorzien van decoratief beslag.
