Inleiding
Grafmonument bestaande uit twee delen aan weerszijden van de kerkhofmuur die het rooms katholieke en protestantse deel van de begraafplaats scheiden. Op het protestantse deel ligt J.W.C. van Gorkum, kolonel der Cavalerie, Militie Commissaris in Limburg begraven. Op het katholieke deel ligt zijn vrouw Jonkvrouwe J.C.P.H. van Aefferden begraven. De jonkvrouwe stierf acht jaar na haar man. Haar grafmonument reikt over de muur de hand naar het grafmonument van haar man. Rond beide grafmonumenten staat een halfrond smeedijzeren hekje.
Omschrijving
Twee vrijwel identieke grafmonumenten aan weerszijden van de kerkhofmuur. Beide grafmonumenten bestaan uit een zandstenen kolom op een hardstenen basement. In de kolom een spitsboogvormig blind vlak met drie pas. In dit blinde vlak de naamvermelding. Het grafmonument heeft een bekroning waarin het familiewapen is aangebracht. Dit deel van het grafmonument heeft een zadeldakvormige afsluiting met hierop een klein kruisje. Aan de achterzijde van beide afsluitende monumentdelen is een hand aangebracht. De twee handen, een vrouwenhand en een mannenhand, symboliseren de verbondenheid tussen beide echtelieden na de dood en over de grens van de verschillende religies.

Grave monument consisting of two parts on either side of the cemetery wall that separates the Roman Catholic and Protestant sections of the burial ground. On the Protestant section lies J.W.C. van Gorkum, colonel of the Cavalry, Military Commissioner in Limburg buried. On the Catholic section lies his wife Baroness J.C.P.H. van Aefferden buried. The baroness died eight years after her husband. Her grave monument reaches over the wall to extend the hand to her husband's grave monument. Around both grave monuments stands a semicircular wrought-iron fence.
Description
Two virtually identical grave monuments on either side of the cemetery wall. Both grave monuments consist of a sandstone column on a hardstone basement. In the column a pointed-arch-shaped blind panel with three passes. In this blind panel the name inscription. The grave monument has a crest in which the family coat of arms is placed. This part of the grave monument has a saddle-roof-shaped closure with thereupon a small cross. On the back side of both closing monument parts a hand is placed. The two hands, a woman's hand and a man's hand, symbolize the bond between both spouses after death and across the boundary of the different religions.
