The register's description

Inleiding.

Introduction.

The HUNTING LODGE is built against the residential section of the long-gabled farmhouse, positioned so that its main facade lies in the sight line of the access lane. It was built in 1900 in Traditional Craft style with Art Nouveau elements.

Description.

The two-storey HUNTING LODGE with mansard roof is constructed of machine-made brick, and has on its east side a polygonal, rendered single-storey extension, with an attached wooden conservatory. The gable ends and rear are also rendered. The roof is covered with moulded cross tiles. On the front there is a large built-out balcony, supported by wooden posts. The wooden balcony balustrade has turned balusters. A similar balustrade is installed on the extension. Beneath the balcony a granito terrace has been poured. The facade arrangement beneath the balcony dates from around 1930. Window and door are identical to those in the facade of the residential section of the farmhouse. On the upper floor a large two-part balcony door has been installed, flanked by right-angled windows, the whole beneath a three-part right-angled fanlight, within a slightly arched mortared segmental arch. To the right of this there is a pivot window beneath a right-angled fanlight in a mortared, arched segmental arch. The windows in the extension contain double pivot windows beneath lightly arched fanlight with glazing bar and are provided with louvre shutters. The window on the ground floor in the side facade is provided with similar shutters. On the attic storey of the gable end there is a three-part window installed with a raised central section beneath fanlight with glazing bars. The conservatory is entirely constructed of wood and provided with glass. It has bevelled wooden posts with mouldings and a worked roof edge with zigzag motif.

The current interior layout on the ground floor dates from around 1930. At the rear there is a small room, which was probably formerly divided into two. Below this there is a storage cellar, which is accessed from the kitchen, and a potato cellar, which is accessed from outside. The upper floor still retains the original layout, with a large front and back room, which are connected to each other by sliding doors.

Valuation.

The object is of general importance and derives its value from its relationship with the other components of the complex. It has building-historical value because of its detailed workmanship. It has been well preserved and is rare as an example of a hunting lodge attached to a reclaimed farmhouse in a newly reclaimed landscape.
