Inleiding
MOLENROMP. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde ronde stenen molen is in 1856 gebouwd als koren- en schorsmolen. De molen is in 1937 na een brand onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De molenromp kreeg een functie als opslagruimte. De molenromp heeft thans de functie van woning en maakt deel uit van de lintbebouwing. De aanbouw van de molen valt niet onder de werking van de Monumentenwet.
Omschrijving
De molenromp is een ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp met zes bouwlagen, welke is voorzien van een plat dak. In het muurwerk is een gevelsteen aanwezig.
Waardering
De molenromp is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen koren- en schorsmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen en de leerindustrie van Nederland (schorsmolen) en de industriële ontwikkeling van Noord-Brabant en de plaatselijke geschiedenis.

Introduction
MILL HULL. The round stone mill, built as a post mill in 1856, was originally constructed as a corn and bark mill. The mill was dismantled in 1937 after a fire, whereby the winding gear, the cap, the post and the operating machinery were removed. The mill hull was subsequently used as storage space. The mill hull now serves as a residence and forms part of the linear development. The outbuilding of the mill falls outside the scope of the Heritage Act.
Description
The mill hull is a round conically-built brick hull with six storeys, which is provided with a flat roof. A decorative stone is present in the masonry.
Valuation
The mill hull is of general importance:
- for technical and historical building values as a recognizable and representative relic of a round stone corn and bark mill from the middle of the 19th century;
- for cultural-historical values as part of the history of the grain mills and the bark industry of the Netherlands (bark mill) and the industrial development of North Brabant and local history.
