Inleiding.
De MUZIEKTENT werd gebouwd in 1929, ter vervanging van een oudere kiosk en toont een Traditioneel-Ambachtelijke vormentaal.
Omschrijving.
De muziektent heeft een onregelmatige plattegrond met een driezijdige sluiting en bestaat uit een podium met daarboven een rieten dak, gedragen door houten stijlen. Het podium is gebouwd in baksteen in een staand verband en wordt afgesloten door een rollaag. Onder het podium bevindt zich een soutterrain. In de schuine zijden van het podium aan de achterzijde zijn aan weerszijden vier kleine lichtgaten met bakstenen stijlen voor deze ruimte aangebracht. Aan de achterzijde van het podium is een gedenksteen uit 1991 ingemetseld. Het podium is bedekt met een planken vloer en voorzien van een houten balustrade. Hierboven bevindt zich een rieten schilddak met nokpannen en twee vorstkammen. Onder dit dak is een houten plafond aangebracht, dat rust op houten stijlen met korbelen.
Ter weerszijde van deze stijlen bevinden zich onder het plafond ijzeren consoles waarin aan de onderzijde kleine lampjes zijn aangebracht.
Waardering.
Het object is van algemeen belang en heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als illustratie van de denkbeelden in het Interbellum omtrent de aankleding van de openbare ruimte in dorpen en als illustratie van de rol van Oisterwijk als belangrijke toeristenplaats. Het object bezit ensemblewaarden: de muziektent vormt een essentieel onderdeel van het dorpsplein en is van belang vanwege de relatie met de historische groenvoorzieningen.

Description.
The bandstand has an irregular ground plan with a three-sided closure and consists of a platform with a thatched roof above it, supported by wooden posts. The platform is built in brick in a running bond and is finished with a roll course. Below the platform is a basement. In the slanting sides of the platform on the rear side are four small light openings with brick posts for this space arranged on either side. On the rear side of the platform a memorial stone from 1991 is mortared in. The platform is covered with a plank floor and provided with a wooden balustrade. Above this is a thatched hipped roof with ridge tiles and two frost ridges. Below this roof a wooden ceiling is arranged, which rests on wooden posts with corbels.
On either side of these posts below the ceiling are iron consoles in which small lights are arranged on the underside.
Valuation.
The object is of general interest and has cultural-historical value as an illustration of the ideas in the Interwar period regarding the design of public space in villages and as an illustration of the role of Oisterwijk as an important tourist destination.
