Inleiding
WINKEL-WOONHUIS, opgetrokken in ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant, daterend uit de eerste helft van de 18de eeuw, mogelijk ouder. Prominent gelegen aan het langgerekte dorpsplein De Lind, in het beschermde dorpsgezicht Oisterwijk. Voor de hoofdingang een hardstenen stoep met twee stoeppalen.
Omschrijving
Tweelaags gepleisterd pand onder schilddak met merendeels gesmoorde Hollandse pannen dat aan de achterzijde lager aanzet. Een gemetselde schoorsteen staat rechts op de nok. De witgeschilderde vijf-assige voorgevel heeft een geschilderde plint. De hoofdingang met paneeldeur is voorzien van een monumentale houten omlijsting met gecanneleerde pilasters op hardstenen neuten en een geprofileerde kroonlijst. Het bovenkalf is met eierlijst en parelsnoer uitgevoerd. Aan weerszijden twee vensters met zes-ruits schuiframen, aan de rechterzijde (winkel sinds 1925) vereenvoudigd, links nog met wisseldorpelklosjes en dubbele luiken. Op de verdieping vijf vier-ruits schuiframen. De linker zijgevel is aangebouwd, de rechter is geheel blind en wit geschilderd. Staafankers. Tegen de rechter zijgevel een poortvormige doorgang met korfboog onder ezelsrugafdekking, eveneens gepleisterd. De kozijnen, ramen en kroonlijst zijn wit, de paneeldeur en luiken standgroen. De oorspronkelijke indeling is nagenoeg bewaard gebleven. Een lange gang met witte en zwarte vloertegels uit marmer en Naamse steen deelt het huis in tweeën. Rechts bevindt zich sinds 1925 de winkelruimte, links de woning. Oude paneeldeuren.

Description
Two-storey plastered building under hipped roof with mostly smoored Dutch tiles that is lower on the rear side. A masonry chimney stands to the right on the ridge. The whitewashed five-bay front gable has a painted plinth. The main entrance with panel door is provided with a monumental wooden frame with fluted pilasters on hardstone plinths and a profiled cornice. The fanlight is executed with egg moulding and pearl beading. On either side two windows with six-pane sash windows, on the right side (shop since 1925) simplified, on the left still with interchangeable dormer blocks and double shutters. On the upper storey five four-pane sash windows. The left side gable is built on, the right is completely blind and whitewashed. Staple anchors. Against the right side gable a gateway-like passage with basket arch under donkey-back coping, likewise plastered. The frames, windows and cornice are white, the panel door and shutters standard green. The original layout has been largely preserved. A long hallway with white and black floor tiles of marble and Namur stone divides the house in two. To the right has been the shop space since 1925, to the left the dwelling. Old panel doors.
