Inleiding
BOERDERIJ van het langgeveltype, in de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw opgetrokken in een streek-eigen bouwtrant. Aan de noordoostelijke zijde bevindt zich een in circa 1970 gebouwde ouderwoning; deze valt buiten de van rijkswege geldende bescherming.
Omschrijving
Gedeeltelijk vrijstaande langgevelboerderij van één bouwlaag op rechthoekige grondslag met in kruisverband gemetselde gevels in schoon metselwerk onder een met Hollandse pannen (aan de dakvoet) en riet gedekt, afgewolfd zadeldak. In de daknok bevinden zich twee gemetselde schoorstenen. In het dakvlak bevinden zich twee halfronde dakkapellen. Het woongedeelte bevindt zich aan de noordoostelijke zijde. De voorgevel heeft een recht gesloten opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht en een recht gesloten venster met luiken en een zesruits schuifraam. Er zijn aparte ingangen voor de deel en de tas. De stalvensters zijn licht getoogd en hebben ijzeren klapramen met een zesruits verdeling. De kopgevel aan de straatzijde (zuidoosten) heeft drie kleine stalvensters en daarboven een opgeklampt rondbogig hooiluik. De gebruikte baksteen is in dit bovenste gedeelte van de kopgevel donkerder van kleur. De achtergevel heeft opgeklampte deeldeuren en enkele met een segmentboog getoogde stalvenstertjes. Bij het woongedeelte bevinden zich nog twee recht gesloten vensters met roedenramen.
Waardering
De langgevelboerderij met dwarsdeelschuur is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling van het boerenbedrijf en de langgevelboerderij en dwarsdeelschuur in Noord-Brabant. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege het bijzondere materiaalgebruik. Het heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de bijzondere samenhang tussen de samenstellende onderdelen. FARMHOUSE of the long-gable type, constructed in the second half of the nineteenth century in a regionally characteristic building tradition. On the north-eastern side there is an elderly dwelling built circa 1970; this falls outside the protection afforded by the state.
Description
Partially detached long-gable farmhouse of one storey on a rectangular ground plan with facades laid in Flemish bond in fair-faced brickwork under a half-hipped roof covered with Dutch tiles (at the roof eaves) and reed. In the roof ridge are two brick chimneys. In the roof plane are two half-round roof dormers. The residential section is situated on the north-eastern side. The front facade has a straight-closing clamp-fixed door with fanlight and a straight-closing window with shutters and a six-pane sash window. There are separate entrances for the barn and the dairy. The barn windows are slightly arched and have iron hinged frames with a six-pane division. The gable facade on the street side (south-east) has three small barn windows and above a clamp-fixed round-arched hay door. The brick used in this upper section of the gable facade is darker in colour. The rear facade has clamp-fixed barn doors and several small barn windows arched with segmental arches. At the residential section there are still two straight-closing windows with glazing bar frames.
Valuation
The long-gable farmhouse with transverse barn is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of the socio-economic and typological development of the farming enterprise and the long-gable farmhouse and transverse barn in North Brabant. It has architectural-historical value because of the particular use of materials. It has ensemble value because of the particular coherence between the constituent components. It is important because of the rarity of such well-preserved ensembles.
