Omschrijving onderdeel 1: HOOFDGEBOUW (De Oldhorst).
Witgepleisterd blokvormig hoofdgebouw gebouwd in 1751 in opdracht van A.K. Brouwer en naar achteren toe vergroot (verdubbeld) in 1810; aan het einde van de 19de eeuw is tegen de westgevel een toren waarin de diensttrap is gebouwd en kreeg het huis zijn huidige aanzien. Het pand bestaat uit twee bouwlagen onder een met gesmoorde dakpannen gedekt omgaand schilddak; tussen de bouwlagen een waterlijst, onder de gootlijst loopt een fries met trigliefen; dakkapellen met driezijdig fronton. De voorgevel van zeven traveeën breed heeft een middenrisaliet, bekroond door een dakvenster (boogvenster met deelzuiltje) met klauwstukken en een fronton; de risaliet wordt benadrukt door een zuilenportiek voor de toegangsdeur met daarboven een overdekt balkon met ijzeren zuiltjes en een bewerkte balustrade (oorspronkelijk langs de gehele gevel een luifel). De dubbele toegangsdeur met bovenlicht heeft aan weerszijden een smal venster en op de verdieping dubbele balkondeuren. De toren tegen de westgevel kent een geleding met omlijste rondboogvensters; op de verdieping met deelzuiltje en deels blind uitgevoerd. Onregelmatig ingedeelde achtergevel met excentrisch geplaatst risaliet bekroond door een fronton, indeling met T-vensters en blinde vensters. In het INTERIEUR is ondermeer van belang de plattegrond met centrale vierkante gestucte hal met kamers aan weerszijden; in de rechter kamer een beschilderd balkenplafond (XIX) met schouw en lambrisering (ca.1890).

Description component 1: MAIN BUILDING (De Oldhorst).
White-rendered block-form main building constructed in 1751 at the behest of A.K. Brouwer and enlarged (doubled) towards the rear in 1810; at the end of the 19th century a tower containing the service stair was built against the western facade and the house acquired its present appearance. The building consists of two storeys under a hipped roof covered with pantiles; between the storeys a drip moulding, beneath the gutter line runs a frieze with triglyphs; roof dormers with three-sided pediment. The front facade of seven bays wide has a central risalit, crowned by a roof window (arched window with small divided column) with claws and a pediment; the risalit is emphasised by a columned portico before the entrance door with above it a covered balcony with iron columns and an ornamental balustrade (originally an awning ran along the entire facade). The double entrance door with fanlight has at either side a narrow window and on the upper storey double balcony doors. The tower against the western facade has articulation with framed round-arched windows; on the upper storey with divided column and partly blind executed. Irregularly divided rear facade with eccentrically placed risalit crowned by a pediment, division with T-windows and blind windows. In the INTERIOR of particular note is the floor plan with central square stuccoed hall with rooms on either side; in the right room a painted beam ceiling (19th century) with fireplace and wainscoting (ca.1890).
