Omschrijving onderdeel 3: GROT behorende tot de buitenplaats De Oldhorst.
In het parkgedeelte voor het huis ligt een bakstenen grot (waterreservoir) uit circa 1820 als overkluizing van een waterpartij. De 20 meter lange grot heeft vier verschillend gevormde ingangen (spits- en rondbogig) twee gangen met gemetseld gewelf die elkaar kruisen (een kruipgang en een watergang). In de grot is een sluisje; waterval. In circa 1990 is de grot gerestaureerd.
Waardering
De GROT behorend tot de historische buitenplaats De Oldhorst is van algemeen belang:

Description of component 3: GROTTO belonging to the country estate De Oldhorst.
In the park section in front of the house lies a brick grotto (water reservoir) from circa 1820 as a covering of a water feature. The 20-metre-long grotto has four differently shaped entrances (pointed and round-arched) and two passages with masonry vault that intersect (a crawling passage and a water passage). In the grotto is a sluice gate; waterfall. Around 1990 the grotto was restored.
