Omschrijving onderdeel 3:
BOUWHUIZEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Sparrendaal. Ter weerszijden van het voorplein twee uit rode baksteen opgetrokken bouwhuizen op rechthoekige grondslag (oorspronkelijk de helft smaller, kort na 1800 in de breedte verdubbeld). Centraal in de gevels aan de voorpleinzijde twee rechte dubbele inrijdeuren met afgeplat boogvormig bovenlicht met spaakroeden. Ter linker- en rechterzijde van het koetshuisgedeelte en daarop aansluitend een dienstwoning, bestaande uit een toegangsdeur met meerruitsbovenlicht en aan de uiteinden van de gevel een meerruitsschuifvenster met halve luiken aan de onderzijde. Beide bouwhuizen werden oorspronkelijk gedekt door een schilddak, maar zijn bij een verbouwing omstreeks 1805 voorzien van het huidige mansardedak. Op de nok van het oorspronkelijke schilddak bevindt zich sinds 1805 een klokkenstoel. De daken zijn voorzien van dakkapellen met meerruitsschuifvensters, deels daterend uit de tijd van de laatste grote restauratie/ verbouwing die eind jaren '50, begin jaren '60 plaats vond.

De BOUWHUIZEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Sparrendaal zijn van algemeen belang: - Vanwege de kenmerkende ligging binnen de vroeg 18de eeuwse formele parkaanleg; - Vanwege de functioneel-ruimtelijke relatie met de andere onderdelen van de buitenplaats; - Als representatief voorbeeld van de restauratiepraktijk uit de jaren '50 en '60 van de 20ste eeuw.

Description of component 3:
UTILITY BUILDINGS belonging to the country estate Sparrendaal. On either side of the front courtyard two utility buildings built of red brick on rectangular ground plan (originally half the width, doubled in width shortly after 1800). Centrally in the facades on the front courtyard side two straight double carriage doors with flattened arched fanlight with spoke bars. To the left and right of the coach house section and adjoining it a servants' dwelling, consisting of a door with multi-pane fanlight and at the ends of the facade a multi-pane sash window with half shutters on the underside. Both utility buildings were originally covered by a hipped roof, but were given the present mansard roof during renovation around 1805. On the ridge of the original hipped roof has been a bell tower since 1805. The roofs are provided with roof dormer windows with multi-pane sash windows, some dating from the time of the last major restoration/renovation which took place in the late 1950s, early 1960s.
