Inleiding
Aan de oostelijke zijde van de Nieuwstraat staat, met de rooilijn direct aan de straat, een vrijstaand DORPSWOONHUIS uit omstreeks 1890 in eclectische stijl. Omstreeks 1980 zijn twee dakkapellen en een daklicht op het dakschild aan de straatzijde toegevoegd.
Omschrijving
Het eenlaags huis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en mansardedak, gedekt met tuile-du-nord pannen. De bakstenen voorgevel telt drie vensterassen en heeft een gepleisterde plint met diamantkoppen en rechthoekige velden, en geblokt gepleisterde hoeklisenen. Aan de bovenzijde wordt de gevel afgesloten door een gepleisterd fries met geprofileerde houten lijstgoot. De zijgevels hebben gecementeerde afdeklijsten. Centraal in de gevel is een paneeldeur met bovenlicht in ondiep portiek geplaatst. Deze wordt geflankeerd door T-schuifvensters in een getoogde, gestucte, geprofileerde omlijsting met kuif. In de zuidelijke zijgevel zijn twee zesruits schuifvensters met opgeklampte luiken geplaatst; op de etage een kleiner zesruits schuifvenster. De noordelijke gevel is blind, terwijl de achtergevel vier vensterassen heeft, met drie zesruits schuifvensters en, links van het midden, een opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht.

Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang.
