Inleiding
Aan de zuidelijke zijde van de Seeligsingel staat het WOONHUIS in Eclectische stijl, thans in gebruik als kantoor en daterende uit 1880. Het maakt deel uit van een gesloten straatwand met laat negentiende-eeuwse herenhuizen.
Het pand heeft enkele verbouwingen ondergaan. In 1924 werd de kap vernieuwd en het schilddak vervangen door een afgeplat schilddak. Tijdens deze onderneming, uitgevoerd door de Bredasche Beton N.V., werd tevens de balklaag van de zoldervloer aangepakt. In 1967 vonden de eerste aanpassingen plaats tot verbouwing tot kantoorruimte, waarbij begane grond en etage opnieuw werden ingedeeld. In 1977 volgden aanpassingen en wordt de tussenmuur met no. 7 zowel op de begane grond als de etage doorgebroken. Op het dakschild aan de straatzijde is een forse moderne dakkapel geplaatst.
Omschrijving
Het tweelaagse pand heeft een globaal rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een afgeplat schilddak, belegd met muldenpannen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen; de voorgevel is gepleisterd en voorzien van schijnvoegen en ornamenten als springlijsten en cannelures. De plint, alsmede de dorpels, zijn uitgevoerd in hardsteen. De voorgevel telt vier vensterassen en is, op de plaatsing van de voordeur na, symmetrisch van opzet. Deze paneeldeur met gietijzeren deurrooster en bovenlicht, in de tweede vensteras, wordt ter linkerzijde door één, ter rechterzijde door twee T-schuifvensters geflankeerd.
Boven de voordeur en het aangrenzende venster ter rechterzijde is een balkon over twee vensterassen uitgevoerd. Het rust op drie kunststenen consoles en heeft een smeedijzeren hekwerk.
Op de verdieping twee openslaande vleugeldeuren naar het balkon, geflankeerd door een T-schuifvenster.

Introduction
On the southern side of the Seeligsingel stands the DWELLING HOUSE in Eclectic style, currently in use as an office and dating from 1880. It forms part of a closed street façade with late nineteenth-century townhouses.
The building has undergone several alterations. In 1924 the roof was renewed and the hipped roof replaced by a flattened hipped roof. During this undertaking, carried out by Bredasche Beton N.V., the beam layer of the attic floor was also tackled. In 1967 the first adaptations took place for conversion to office space, whereby the ground floor and first floor were reorganised. In 1977 further adaptations followed and the party wall with no. 7 was breached both on the ground floor and the first floor. On the roof slope facing the street a substantial modern roof dormer has been placed.
Description
The two-storey building has a roughly rectangular floor plan and is covered by a flattened hipped roof, tiled with curved tiles. The façades are constructed in brick; the front façade is plastered and provided with false joints and ornaments such as string courses and fluting. The plinth, as well as the sills, are executed in stone. The front façade has four window bays and is, save for the placement of the front door, symmetrically arranged. This panel door with cast-iron door grille and fanlight, in the second window bay, is flanked on the left side by one, on the right side by two T-sash windows.
Above the front door and the adjacent window on the right side is a balcony spanning two window bays. It rests on three artificial stone consoles and has wrought-iron railings.
On the first floor two casement doors opening onto the balcony, flanked by a T-sash window.
