Inleiding
PASTORIE, behorend bij de voormalige Sint Antoniuskerk, gebouwd tussen 1917 en 1919 door J.H.H. van Groenendael. Het pand bevat Neo-Classicistische elementen.
Omschrijving
PASTORIE, tweelaags pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een schilddak, gedekt met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. De voorgevel is, evenals de achtergevel, drie traveeën breed, de zijgevels tellen elk vijf traveeën. Het pand is uitgevoerd in Kunrader steen, de blokken steen zijn in een grillig patroon gebruikt, met uitzondering van de plint, de kroonlijst en pilasters waar de steen in regelmatige blokken is toegepast.
De gevels hebben een verticale geleding door Corintische pilasters in kolossale orde op de hoeken en aan weerszijden van de middentraveeën.
De deur, een dubbele houten paneeldeur met houtsnijwerk, bevindt zich in een portiek onder een gebogen fronton.
De bovenlichten van de ramen zijn voorzien van een kleine roedenverdeling.
De dakkapellen bevinden zich steeds in het midden van het dakvlak.
Tussen de kerk en de pastorie bevindt zich een éénlaags bouwlid onder plat dak dat beide onderdelen met elkaar verbindt.

De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het zuiden en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de pastorie. Het heeft architectuurhistorisch belang door de stijl, het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de detaillering en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van het oeuvre van de architect Van Groenendael. PARSONAGE, two-storey building on a rectangular floor plan under a hipped roof, covered with improved Dutch tiles.
