Inleiding
Voormalig boerderijgebouw met paardenstallen thans in gebruik voor opslag en als garage. Het gebouw dateert uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw. Het ontwerp wordt toegeschreven aan architect H.J. Hürth. De toegepaste bouwstijl is Traditionalisme met elementen van Chalet-stijl.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaand boerderijgebouw op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het pand telt een bouwlaag en wordt afgedekt met een schilddak met haaks op het middendeel een zadeldak met Muldenpannen. Aan de voorzijde breed dakoverstek rustend op houten consoles. Het zadeldak bekroond met twee nokpionnen. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen in twee tinten. Metselwerk in kruisverband. Rechthoekige houten vensters en deuren met roedeverdeling. Segmentboogvormige houten poorten.
Symmetrische indeling VOORGEVEL. Voorgevel met gepleisterde plint. Middendeel voorgevel uitlopend in een topgevel met hierin vakwerk en twee vensterkozijnen. Topgevel onder dakoverstek op houten consoles. Zadeldak uitlopend in een spits leien dakje bekroond met nokpion. In de eerste bouwlaag een segmentboogvormige houten poort met aan weerszijden een klein spitsboog venstertje. In linker- en rechterdeel voorgevel een deur met vensterkozijn en drie vensterkozijnen elk met vierruits roedeverdeling. Eveneens aan weerszijden een segmentboogvormige houten poort. Rechter- en linkervoorgeveldeel aan bovenzijde van vensters en poort voorzien van een houten betimmering.
In de RECHTERZIJGEVEL een deur en een segmentboogvormig venster. In de LINKERZIJGEVEL enkel een segmentboogvormig venster.
Middendeel ACHTERGEVEL iets vooruitspringend en uitlopend in een topgevel met hierin vakwerk en twee vensterkozijnen. Topgevel onder dakoverstek op houten consoles. Zadeldak loopt uit in spits dakje bedekt met leien en bekroond met een nokpion. In de eerste bouwlaag achtergevel rechthoekige houten vensters met vierruits roedeverdeling.
INTERIEUR aangepast en niet beschermenswaardig.
Waardering
Het voormalig boerderijgebouw uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een typologische ontwikkeling. Het voormalig boerderijgebouw bezit architectuurhistorische waarde wegens het bijzonder belang van het object voor de bovenregionale geschiedenis van de architectuur, het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de ornamentiek. De toepassing van de Chalet-stijl op een historische boerderij is vanuit stilistisch oogpunt interessant wegens de zeldzaamheid. Ensemblewaarde ontleent het voormalig boerderijgebouw aan de situering binnen het kloostercomplex Loreto en het is daarmee van belang voor het aanzien van Simpelveld. Het boerderijgebouw is tenslotte van algemeen belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de architectuurhistorische en typologische zeldzaamheid.

On the front facade broad roof overhang resting on wooden consoles. The gabled roof crowned with two roof-ridge ornaments. The building material used is brick in two shades. Brickwork in English bond. Rectangular wooden windows and doors with glazing bars. Segmental arch-shaped wooden gates.
Symmetrical layout of the FRONT FACADE. Front facade with plastered plinth. Central section of front facade terminating in a stepped gable with timber framing therein and two window frames. Stepped gable beneath roof overhang on wooden consoles. Gabled roof terminating in a pointed slate roof crowned with a roof-ridge ornament. In the first storey a segmental arch-shaped wooden gate with on either side a small pointed arch window. In left and right sections of the front facade a door with window frame and three window frames each with four-pane glazing bars. Also on either side a segmental arch-shaped wooden gate. Right and left front facade sections at the top of windows and gate provided with wooden boarding.
In the RIGHT SIDE FACADE a door and a segmental arch-shaped window. In the LEFT SIDE FACADE only a segmental arch-shaped window.
Central section of REAR FACADE slightly projecting and terminating in a stepped gable with timber framing therein and two window frames. Stepped gable beneath roof overhang on wooden consoles. Gabled roof terminates in a pointed roof covered with slate and crowned with a roof-ridge ornament. In the first storey rear facade rectangular wooden windows with four-pane glazing bars.
