Waardering

Valuation
The residential house for the rector and the small outbuilding are of cultural-historical value as a distinctive expression of a typological development of buildings within monastic complexes. This is a noteworthy example of significance for the history of domestic life, in particular as a determining element in social and religious hierarchy. The buildings possess architectural-historical value because of their importance for the supra-regional history of architecture. The buildings derive ensemble value from their location within the Loreto monastic complex and are thus important for the character of Simpelveld. Finally, the buildings are of general importance because of the reasonable degree of architectural integrity of the exterior and their architectural-historical and typological rarity.
