Inleiding
Voormalig MAGAZIJN "Gebouw 14", onderdeel van het complex Hembrugterrein - Artillerie Inrichtingen Hembrug, daterend uit 1901. Dit object, officieel bestemd tot 'oplegging van mobilisatievoorraden, behoort tot de oudste bewaard gebleven bebouwing van de fabriek en bevindt zich op het westelijk terreindeel bestemd voor de machinefabriek. Thans is het gebouw nog gedeeltelijk voor opslag in gebruik. Oorspronkelijk liep de smalspoorbaan van het fabrieksterrein in de lengterichting door het gebouw heen.
Omschrijving
Magazijn, gebouwd op rechthoekige plattegrond en bestaande uit tweeëneenhalve bouwlaag onder zadeldak met de nok noord-zuid gericht.
Het gebouw is gefundeerd op een houten paalroosterwerk en daarop pijlerblokken van cementbeton met gemetselde spaarbogen. Het is opgetrokken met spouwmuren in grauwe baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband met toepassing van gele en rode baksteen voor band- en lijstwerk en in de segmentbogen boven de vensters. Het is een driebeukige hal over acht traveeën met inwendig een constructie van tweemaal zeven samengestelde ijzeren kolommen met samengestelde balklaag.
De noord- en zuidgevel bestaan uit drie traveeën met deuren en vensters op de drie verdiepingen. De meeste deuren zijn later in deze vorm aangebracht. De puntgevel heeft een hijsbalk en is voorzien van een klimmend boogfries en een bescheiden houten overstek.
De oost- en westgevel bestaan uit acht vensterassen tussen muurdammen en bevatten op de begane grond en de eerste verdieping houten negenruits schuifvensters. Dde ver overstekende gootlijst betreft een latere aanpassing.
Waardering

Introduction
Former WAREHOUSE "Building 14", component of the Hembrugterrein complex - Artillery Installations Hembrug, dating from 1901. This object, officially intended for 'storage of mobilisation supplies', belongs to the oldest preserved buildings of the factory and is located on the western part of the site intended for the machine factory. At present the building is still partially in use for storage. Originally the narrow-gauge railway of the factory site ran lengthwise through the building.
Description
Warehouse, built on a rectangular plan and consisting of two and a half storeys under gabled roof with the ridge oriented north-south.
The building is founded on a timber pile grid and upon it foundation blocks of cement concrete with mortared spandrel arches. It is erected with cavity walls in grey brick laid in alternating bond with the application of yellow and red brick for band and moulding work and in the segmental arches above the windows. It is a three-aisle hall spanning eight bays with internally a structure of twice seven compound iron columns with compound beam layer.
The north and south facades consist of three bays with doors and windows on three storeys. Most doors were subsequently introduced in this form. The gable has a hoist beam and is provided with a climbing arch frieze and a modest wooden overhang.
The east and west facades consist of eight window bays between wall piers and contain on the ground floor and the first storey wooden nine-pane sash windows. The far overhanging gutter moulding is a later modification.
Valuation
The former warehouse "Building 14" is of general importance due to its cultural and architectural historical value as an example of an industrial storage building from the end of the 19th century, and also of importance as a historical-functional component of the Hembrugterrein complex, built in the first phase of the factory.
