Inleiding
Op het R.K. kerkhof van de H. Clemens te Nuenen gelegen PASTOORSGRAF in neo-gotische stijl van Andreas Pauwels, circa 1882. Het graf ligt vóór de calvariegroep.
Omschrijving
Hardstenen graftombe met op neo-gotische gedetailleerde sokkel staand kruis en dekplaat met in hoog-reliëf op de hoeken de vier evangelistensymbolen, gevat in een vierpas. Centraal in de dekplaat is in een door een spitsboog omvatte nis in hoogreliëf een kelk met hostie op een gesloten boek afgebeeld.
Langs de randen van de dekplaat de inscriptie: "Hier rust de zeer eerw. heer Andreas Pauwels / Geboren te Nieuwkuik 10 april 1826 / bijna 10 jaren pastoor dezer parochie / overleden te Nuenen 25 aug. 1882". Op de voorzijde van de tombe de inscriptie: "Memento".

Description
Sandstone grave tomb with a cross standing on a neo-gothic detailed plinth and a cover slab with in high relief on the corners the four evangelist symbols, set within a quatrefoil. Central in the cover slab is in a niche enclosed by a pointed arch in high relief a chalice with host on a closed book depicted.
Along the edges of the cover slab the inscription: "Here rests the much revered Sir Andreas Pauwels / Born at Nieuwkuik 10 April 1826 / nearly 10 years rector of this parish / died at Nuenen 25 August 1882". On the front of the tomb the inscription: "Memento".
Valuation
The grave monument is of general importance.
