Inleiding
Tweelaags R.K. PASTORIE van de H. Clemensparochie, gebouwd in 1910. De blokvormige pastorie is opgetrokken in Overgangsstijl.
Het gebouw ligt direct ten zuiden van het kerkgebouw.
Omschrijving
Het gebouw heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, is twee bouwlagen hoog en heeft een platdak met schilden, waarop lei in Maasdekking is toegepast. De risalerende hoekpartij met hoge schoudergevel bepaalt het aanzien van de gevel. Tegen de risaliet is op de begane grond een driezijdig gesloten erker onder lessenaardak geplaatst. Het gedeelte van de gevel ter linkerzijde van deze risaliet bestaat uit twee vensterassen.
Rechts van de risaliet ligt een terugliggend en lager bouwdeel met het portiek, deels onder zadeldak met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. Twee op het dak geplaatste schoorstenen, alsmede een tweetal tegen het dakschild geplaatste met zinken pirons bekroonde dakkapellen, verlevendigen het silhouet.
De gevel is opgetrokken uit baksteen en heeft een hardstenen plint. De schoudergevel wordt bekroond door een hoge hardstenen trap, waarop een smeedijzeren windvaan is geplaatst. In het gehele pand zijn houten kruisvensters toegepast, voorzien van openslaande vensters met bovenlichten, rolluiken en kunststenen strekken. In de risaliet zijn afwijkende vensters: boven de erker is een samengesteld houten kruisvenster met de dubbele breedte van de overige vensters. Daarboven verrijzen drie smalle en hoge rondboogvensters. Het middelste venster heeft ongeveer de dubbele hoogte van de flankerende.
Het portiek is gevat in een tegen de zijgevel van het hoofdgebouw teniet lopende rondboog. In het portiek een gevelsteen met de inscriptie: "prim. lap. pos. / A. van Grinsven past. / A.J. Prinsen / AED. F. de Greef / H. Sanders / A. van Kemenade / 29 maart 1910. In het portiek ligt een granito-vloer en zijn een marmeren brievenbus en een schoenschraper in het metselwerk opgenomen. Het plafond is kruisvormig gestuct. Tegen de noordelijke gevel is een gerabatte houten serre op bakstenen plint aangebouwd. Het tot het oorspronkelijk bouwplan horende gebouwtje heeft een platdak.
De achtergevel heeft dezelfde kruis- en gekoppelde kruisvensters als in de voorgevel. Hier is in de openslaande delen van de vensters echter een extra regel aangebracht. Aan de achterzijde van de aanbouw met het portiek bevindt zich een voormalig koetshuis.
In het interieur zijn onder meer van belang: een tochtportaal met paneeldeur en gegraveerd glas, een aangrenzende, aan de zuidzijde van het gebouw gelegen spreekkamer, de in plattegrond kruisvormige hal met aan de zuidelijke zijde een glasin-lood-venster, voorstellende de Goede Herder , geflankeerd door engelen, de dito vensters in het trapportaal, voorstellende gestileerde bloemen, de kamer-en-suite aan de achterzijde van het huis, met paneelschuifdeuren. In de hal en de belangrijkste kamers is een met ijzer beslagen plafond met kooflijst. Bijzonder is dat het een licht reliëf heeft doordat het plaatijzer kruisvormig gestempeld is.
Waardering
De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het zuiden en is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de pastorie. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de stijl en de detaillering. Het gebouw heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de bijzondere betekenis door de situering naast de kerk, nauw verbonden met de ontwikkeling/uitbreiding van Nuenen en vanwege de samenhang met de overige bebouwing aan het Park.

Description
The building has a rectangular floor plan, is two storeys high and has a flat roof with hipped ends, on which slate in Maas covering has been applied. The projecting corner section with tall shoulder gable determines the appearance of the facade. Against the projection on the ground floor a three-sided closed oriel window under a sloping roof has been placed. The section of the facade to the left of this projection consists of two window bays.
To the right of the projection lies a recessed and lower building section with the porch, partly under a gabled roof with improved Dutch tiles. Two chimneys placed on the roof, as well as two roof dormers placed against the roof hipped end crowned with zinc pirns, enliven the silhouette.
The facade is constructed of brick and has a sandstone plinth. The shoulder gable is crowned by a tall sandstone stair, on which a wrought-iron weathervane has been placed. Throughout the entire building wooden cross windows have been used, provided with opening windows with fanlights, roller shutters and artificial stone stretches. In the projection there are different windows: above the oriel is a composite wooden cross window with twice the width of the other windows. Above this rise three narrow and tall round-arched windows. The central window has approximately twice the height of the flanking ones.
The porch is contained within a round arch running against the side facade of the main building. In the porch a plaque stone with the inscription: "prim. lap. pos. / A. van Grinsven past. / A.J. Prinsen / AED. F. de Greef / H. Sanders / A. van Kemenade / 29 March 1910. In the porch lies a granito floor and a marble letterbox and a shoe scraper have been incorporated in the masonry. The ceiling is cross-shaped and stuccoed. Against the northern facade a rabbeted wooden conservatory on brick plinth has been built. The small building belonging to the original building plan has a flat roof.
The rear facade has the same cross and coupled cross windows as in the front facade. Here, however, an extra bar has been added in the opening parts of the windows. At the rear of the extension with the porch is a former carriage house.
In the interior the following are of importance: a draught porch with panelled door and engraved glass, an adjacent reception room located on the southern side of the building, the cross-shaped hall in floor plan with on the southern side a leaded glass window, depicting the Good Shepherd, flanked by angels, similar windows in the stair porch, depicting stylised flowers, the suite of rooms at the rear of the house, with panelled sliding doors. In the hall and the main rooms there is a ceiling with iron fittings and cornice moulding. Particularly notable is that it has subtle relief relief due to the sheet metal being cross-shaped stamped.
