Inleiding
Aan de oostelijke zijde van de Stationslaan staat, door een ondiepe voortuin van de straat gescheiden, een WOONHUIS uit omstreeks 1925. In de rijk gedetailleerde baksteenarchitectuur zijn Expressionistische elementen te herkennen.
Omschrijving
Het woonhuis heeft een globaal rechthoekige plattegrond en één bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een geknikt schilddak met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. Het rijzige dak heeft een fors overstek en wordt bekroond door twee schoorstenen. De gevels zijn gemetseld in baksteen, waarbij getracht is door de afwisselend horizontale, dan wel verticale plaatsing van de stenen een decoratief effect te verkrijgen, met name in basement, strekken, fries en de omlijsting van het portiek.
De voorgevel heeft een symmetrische opzet met in het midden een paneelvoordeur met geometrisch ingedeeld bovenlicht, geplaatst in een portiek, dat tot boven het niveau van de goot is opgemetseld. De ingangspartij wordt door driedelige openslaande vensters met kleine roedenverdeling geflankeerd. Ook in de zijgevels zijn dergelijke vensters aangebracht, al dan niet per twee of drie gekoppeld. Op een eenlaags, kleine achteraanbouw aan de zuidelijke zijde staat een gemetselde schoorsteen. Rondom zijn tegen de dakschilden kapellen geplaatst. Deze houten dakkapellen zijn, op die boven het portiek na, plat gedekt en hebben vensters met kleine roedenverdeling.
Waardering
Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van woningen voor de lokale elite nabij het station, het is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het woonhuis. Het object is van architectuurhistorisch belang door de zeer verzorgde detaillering en de aanpassing in vormentaal aan het nagestreefde beeld van landelijke rust. Het huis is van belang vanwege de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur.

On the eastern side of the Stationslaan stands, separated from the street by a shallow front garden, a DWELLING HOUSE dating from approximately 1925. In the richly detailed brickwork architecture, Expressionist elements can be recognized.
Description
The dwelling house has a roughly rectangular floor plan and one storey and is covered by a hipped roof with improved Dutch tiles. The tall roof has a substantial overhang and is crowned by two chimneys. The facades are built in brickwork, whereby an attempt has been made to create a decorative effect through the alternating horizontal and vertical placement of the bricks, particularly in the basement, string courses, frieze and the framing of the porch.
The front facade has a symmetrical layout with in the centre a panelled front door with geometrically divided fanlight, placed in a porch that is built up to above the level of the eaves. The entrance section is flanked by tripartite casement windows with small glazing bars. Similar windows are also placed in the side facades, either coupled in twos or threes. On a single-storey small rear extension on the southern side stands a brickwork chimney. Dormer windows have been placed all around against the roof slopes. These wooden dormers are, except for the one above the porch, flat-roofed and have windows with small glazing bars.

The dwelling house is of general interest. It has cultural historical importance as a distinctive expression of socio-economic development, namely the establishment of dwellings for the local elite near the station, and is also of importance as an example of the typological development of the dwelling house.
