Inleiding
Beide BRUGBEDIENINGSGEBOUWTJES dateren uit 1931-'32 en maken deel uit van Julianasluis die verder bestaat uit een schutsluis (a), een bedieningsgebouw (met Garenskantoor) (b), twee vernieuwde stalen ophaalbruggen (die buiten rijksbescherming vallen) met twee brugwachtershuisjes (c). De brugbedieningsgebouwtjes zijn gebouwd in de stijl van de Interbellum-architectuur.
Omschrijving
Bij beide hefbruggen staan identieke rechthoekige gebouwtjes voor de bediening van de rioolschuiven. Het gebouw is geplaatst op een platform dat evenhoog als het naastliggende wegdek is.
Pandje is opgetrokken uit donkerrode baksteen en heeft een meter hoge donkerbruin gemetselde trasraam met ingesnoerde blokken. Mansardekap met maasdekking en twee pyronen. De kap is afgezet met een uitkragende houten daklijst; vlak eronder een siermetselwerkrand.
Waardering
De bedieningsgebouwtjes hebben ensemblewaarde vanwege de samenhang met de overige objecten van het sluizencomplex.

Both BRIDGE OPERATION BUILDINGS date from 1931-'32 and form part of Julianasluis which further consists of a lock chamber (a), an operation building (with Garens office) (b), two renewed steel lifting bridges (which fall outside national monument protection) with two bridge keeper's cottages (c). The bridge operation buildings were built in the style of Interbellum architecture.
Description
At both lifting bridges stand identical rectangular buildings for the operation of the sewer sluices. The building is placed on a platform that is level with the adjacent roadway.
The building is constructed of dark red brick and has a meter-high dark brown mortared Meuse stone frame with compressed blocks. Mansard roof with Meuse tile covering and two roof ventilation pipes. The roof is finished with a projecting wooden drip moulding; directly below it an ornamental brickwork band.
