Inleiding.
WOONHUIS, gebouwd omstreeks 1860 in een Ambachtelijk-Traditionele bouwtrant met invloeden van Neo-Classicisme.
Omschrijving.
Het éénlaagse bakstenen huis heeft een T-vormige plattegrond onder een samengesteld zadeldak. Het dak van de hoofdmassa aan de straatzijde is gedekt met kruispannen en voorzien van windveren en een gootlijst. De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en is afgewerkt met een kroonlijst met lijstwerk en consoles. De T-ramen zijn elk voorzien van rolluikkasten met decoratieve randen. De voordeur is in een classicistische omlijsting geplaatst en heeft een bovenlicht, gevuld met glas-in-lood. De rechterzijgevel is gepleisterd. Vooraan bevindt zich een halfvenster, verder naar achter is een T-raam geplaatst. De vormgeving en rolluikbakken komen overeen met die van de ramen van de voorgevel. In de topgevels van beide zijgevels bevinden zich twee T-schuiframen. De haakse aanbouw heeft gepleisterde gevels, aan de rechterzijkant met vernieuwde ramen en een deur. Voor het huis is een smal stoepje aangelegd.

Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang. Het is van cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling van de looierijindustrie in de Langstraat. The single-storey brick house has a T-shaped floor plan beneath a composite gabled roof. The roof of the main mass on the street side is covered with interlocking tiles and fitted with wind vanes and a gutter moulding. The front facade comprises five bays and is finished with a cornice with decorative moulding and corbels. The cross windows are each fitted with shutter boxes with decorative borders. The front door is placed in a classicist frame and has a fanlight filled with leaded glass. The right side facade is plastered. At the front there is a half-window, further back a cross window is placed. The design and shutter boxes correspond with those of the windows of the front facade. In the gable tops of both side facades are two cross sash windows. The right-angled extension has plastered facades, on the right side with renewed windows and a door. A narrow step has been constructed in front of the house.
Assessment.
The residence is of general significance. It is of cultural-historical importance as an expression of the socio-economic and typological development of the tannery industry in the Langstraat. It has architectural-historical importance for the history of building technique, owing to the application of diverse forms and construction types, depending on the functions of the components.
