Inleiding.
De POORT MET HEKWERK werd in 1892 in Neo-renaissance stijl gebouwd naar ontwerp van architect P.J. van Genk. De opdrachtgeefster was C. de Meulemeester-Van Hasselt.
Omschrijving.
Ter linkerzijde, tussen nummer 25 en 27, bevindt zich de toegangspoort tot de achtertuin. Deze poort is uitgevoerd in dezelfde stijl als het woonhuis. De getoogde poort is uitgevoerd in machinale baksteen met hardsteen plint, omlijsting, speklagen en diamantkoppen. Boven de lijst op klossen staat een vierkant gevelveld met banden en knoppen, bekroond door een segmentboogfronton met bolpiron. De poort wordt afgesloten door een dubbel smeedijzeren hek met spiraalkrullen.
Waardering.
