Inleiding.
Het WOONHUIS-KANTOOR is gebouwd in Eclectische stijl rond 1895 en vormt een onderdeel van de in diezelfde tijd tot stand gekomen gevelwand aan een uitvalsweg van de binnenstad.
Omschrijving.
Het tweelaagse pand telt vier traveeën op de begane grond en is gepleisterd. Op het zadeldak met de nok parallel aan de straat liggen rode kruispannen. De plint en de vensterdorpels zijn van hardsteen. Onder de vensters van de begane grond zijn velden aangebracht, onder die van de etage sierlijsten. De brede vensters op de begane grond hebben een zesdeling als "Chicago-windows". Deze en de vijf T-vensters op de verdieping hebben een stucomlijsting die onderaan naar voren welft, met oreillons en kuiven. Deze decoratie omgeeft ook de paneeldeur met kussens en sierrooster geheel links en de vernieuwde paneeldeur in de derde travee van links. Alle bovenlichten zijn voorzien van glas-in-lood. Horizontaal wordt de gevel geleed door een cordonlijst tussen de etages en een fries met velden, onder een geprofileerde kroonlijst op klosjes.

The RESIDENTIAL-OFFICE BUILDING was built in Eclectic style around 1895 and forms part of the facade wall created at that same time on an exit road from the city centre.

The two-storey building comprises four bays on the ground floor and is plastered. On the gabled roof with the ridge parallel to the street are red cross tiles. The plinth and window sills are of ashlar. Below the windows of the ground floor are panels, below those of the upper storey ornamental mouldings. The broad windows on the ground floor have a sixfold division as "Chicago windows". These and the five T-windows on the upper floor have stucco moulding that arches forward at the base, with ears and hood mouldings. This decoration also surrounds the panelled door with cushioned panels and ornamental grille at the far left and the renewed panelled door in the third bay from the left. All fanlights are equipped with leaded glass. Horizontally the facade is articulated by a string course between storeys and a frieze with panels, under a profiled cornice on blocks.
