Omschrijving
Inleiding.

Description
Introduction.
The FLEMISH BARN was built in the third quarter of the nineteenth century. This stable is located parallel to the long-facade farmhouse, along the Beatrixweg.
Description.
The Flemish Barn has a rectangular plan and is constructed of tarred wooden planks and partly of handmade brick. The hipped roof is covered with thatch. At the short gavel towards the side of the Hoge Donk is the indentation in plan and roof structure for the high double doors through which the hay wagon could be driven. This short gable is of brick and has two semi-circular iron stable windows with fork tracery and besides the entrance gate a low access door. The long wooden side gable is provided with various window and door openings which are closed off with tarred wooden planks. The remaining gables are blank. The low left side gable is of brick, the rear gable again of wood.
Valuation.
The Flemish Barn is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical significance as an expression of a landscape development, in particular the flourishing of agriculture in Central Brabant in the late nineteenth century. It has ensemble value, given the historical-spatial relationship with green spaces, roads, waterways and soil conditions. The complex is important because of the integrity of the exterior and interior and in relation to the structural and visual integrity of the landscape surroundings. As a whole it is of significance because of an increasingly growing typological rarity.
