Omschrijving
INGANGSPOORT met aansluitende tuinmuren behorende bij het complex St. Adelbertusabdij. De ingangspoort ligt iets teruggerooid van en evenwijdig aan de Vennewaterweg en is in bruine baksteen opgetrokken onder uitkragend zadeldak met rode Romaanse pannen. Aan weerszijden van de rondboogvormige doorgang met ijzeren hek liggen twee lagere zijmuren onder ezelsruggen in een gebogen vorm naar de weg toe waar ze eindigen in bakstenen hoekpijlers onder ezelsruggen. Boven de doorgang in het midden van de poort hangt een ijzeren lantaarn.
Waardering
De ingangspoort en de tuinmuren uit 1933 zijn van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex "St. Adelbert" in de traditionalistische bouwtrant naar ontwerp van architect A.J. Kropholler.

Description
ENTRANCE GATE with adjoining garden walls belonging to the St. Adelbertusabdij complex. The entrance gate is situated slightly set back from and parallel to the Vennewaterweg and is constructed in brown brick under an overhanging gabled roof (saddle roof) with red Roman tiles. On either side of the round arch-shaped passage with iron gate lie two lower side walls under barrel-shaped roofs in a curved form towards the road where they end in brick corner piers under barrel-shaped roofs. Above the passage in the middle of the gate hangs an iron lantern.
Valuation
The entrance gate and garden walls from 1933 are of general importance because of the architectural and cultural historical value as a historical-functional component of the complex "St. Adelbert" in the traditionalist building style to the design of architect A.J. Kropholler.
