Omschrijving
KLOOSTERBOERDERIJ behorende bij het complex St. Adelbertusabdij. De boerderij is opgetrokken in bruine baksteen op een U-vormige plattegrond rond een (oorspronkelijk open) hof, die later is overkapt. De boerderij bestaat uit een L-vormig bouwvolume (woonhuis en schuren) onder schilddaken en een rechthoekige bouwmassa (het bedrijfsgedeelte), onder een hoger schilddak met uilenborden. De daken zijn gedekt met rode pannen. Er is een grote diversiteit aan vensters. De deuren in de zuid- en westgevel bezitten de stijlkenmerken van Kropholler: zij zijn getoogd, bezitten aan één zijde een natuurstenen aanzetsteen met vellingmotief en zijn voorzien van fors gesmeed geheng en beslag. De stal- en (getoogde) darsdeuren zijn eveneens voorzien van dit typische Kropholler geheng en beslag. Op de hoeken van de oostgevel van de boerderij staan forse getrapte steunberen.
In het midden van de westgevel een entreepartij onder opgemetselde topgevel met groot roosvenster. Boven de deur bevindt zich een gevelsteen met de tekst "PAX"; op het dak staat een smeedijzeren kruis.
Waardering
De kloosterboerderij uit 1937-1941 is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het abdijcomplex "St. Adelbert", gebouwd in traditionalistische trant naar ontwerp van A.J. Kropholler.

Description
CLOISTER FARM belonging to the St. Adelbertusabdij complex. The farm is constructed in brown brick on a U-shaped ground plan around a (originally open) courtyard, which was later covered. The farm consists of an L-shaped building volume (dwelling house and barns) under hipped roofs and a rectangular building mass (the business section), under a higher hipped roof with owl boards. The roofs are covered with red tiles. There is a large diversity of windows. The doors in the south and west facades possess the stylistic characteristics of Kropholler: they are arched, possess on one side a natural stone springstone with a filleted motif and are provided with heavy forged hinges and fittings. The stable and (arched) threshing doors are likewise provided with this typical Kropholler hinges and fittings. At the corners of the east facade of the farm stand strong stepped buttresses.
In the middle of the west facade an entrance arrangement under a laid up top gable with large rose window. Above the door is located a stone plaque with the text "PAX"; on the roof stands a wrought iron cross.
Valuation
The cloister farm from 1937-1941 is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural historical value as a historical-functional component of the abbey complex "St. Adelbert", built in traditionalist style to the design of A.J. Kropholler.
