Omschrijving
De (voormalige) SMEDERIJ bij het complex St. Adelbertusabdij is vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond in bruine baksteen in strekkenverband opgetrokken onder een met rode pannen gedekt zadeldak. De aanzetten van de topgevels zijn decoratief uitgemetseld en de geveltoppen zijn geleed met gemetselde hoek- en topelementen en een fries. In het dak van de smederij een gemetselde schoorsteen. Het gebouwtje is toegankelijk via een houten aanbouw aan de oostgevel.
Waardering De smederij is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het abdijcomplex "St. Adelbert", gebouwd in een bij het kloostercomplex passende traditionalistische bouwtrant.

The (former) SMITHY at the St. Adelbertusabdij complex is constructed from a rectangular ground plan in brown brick in stretcher bond under a gabled roof (saddle roof) covered with red tiles.
