Inleiding:
FABRIKANTENWONING met aangebouwd KOETSHUIS en DIENSTWONING uit het einde van de negentiende eeuw, in Eclectische stijl gebouwd voor de Geldropse textielfabrikant A. van den Heuvel en Zoon. Het geheel is markant gesitueerd met een voorerf in de buitenbocht van het Bogardeind op de hoek met de Burghtstraat, aan drie zijden vrijliggend op het perceel. De noordgevel vormt de erfscheiding.
Omschrijving:
De hoofdbouw is een tweelaags blokvormig huis van vijf traveeën breed, onder schilddak met plat en hoekpilasters. Het heeft een risalerende ingangspartij van drie bouwlagen met balkon en torenachtig dak in trapeziumvorm met aan de voorkant een zinken oeuil de boeuf. Het huis wordt geflankeerd door links het koetshuis en rechts de dienstwoning, beide met rechthoekige plattegronden onder zadeldaken, waarvan de nok loodrecht op de straat staat, beide eenlaags en terugliggend ten opzichte van de voorgevel van de hoofdbouw.
De architectuur van het geheel is symmetrisch van opzet. De gevels van het huis zijn gepleisterd en voorzien van rijke stucdecoraties. De pui van de voorgevel is op de begane grond gebosseerd evenals de gehele risaliet. Verder heeft het huis aan de voorkant een gekorniste kroonlijst en fries met stenen consoles en een cordonlijst. De muuropeningen op de begane grond zijn voorzien van rondbogen, op de verdieping van segmentbogen. Het hardstenen balkon boven de voordeur rust op zware stenen consoles. De bijgebouwen zijn opgetrokken uit handgevormde baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband. De voorgevels ervan zijn gepleisterd. De topgevel van het koetshuis heeft een getrapt fries, die van de dienstwoning is strak. Oorspronkelijk was hier de gevelbeëindiging identiek aan die van het koetshuis. De muuropeningen zijn voorzien van gemetselde hanekammen met afgeronde bovenhoeken.Alle daken zijn gedekt met natuursteen schubleien. De hoekkepers hebben zinken dekranden. In het huis liggen twee kelders, een met een stenen gewelf en de ander met een houten balken plafond waartussen gemetselde togen. Gedeeltelijk zijn boven de later aangebrachte verlaagde plafonds de oorspronkelijke stucplafonds nog aanwezig.
Voor het huis ligt een frontale stoep met hardstenen rand waartussen gele vierkante gebakken tegels met geometrische decoratie.
Het erf is aan het Bogardeind afgesloten door een smeedijzeren hekwerk tussen gemetselde pilasters.

MANUFACTURER'S HOUSE with adjoining COACH HOUSE and SERVANT'S DWELLING from the end of the nineteenth century, built in Eclectic style for Geldrop textile manufacturer A. van den Heuvel and Son. The whole is markedly situated with a forecourt in the outer bend of the Bogardeind at the corner with Burghtstraat, freestanding on three sides on the plot. The north facade forms the boundary of the property.
Description:
The main building is a two-storey block-shaped house five bays wide, under a hipped roof with a flat section and corner pilasters. It has a projecting entrance section of three storeys with a balcony and tower-like roof in trapezoidal form with a zinc oeil de boeuf on the front. The house is flanked on the left by the coach house and on the right by the servant's dwelling, both with rectangular floor plans under gabled roofs, the ridge of which stands perpendicular to the street, both single-storey and set back relative to the front facade of the main building.
The architecture of the whole is symmetrical in design. The facades of the house are plastered and provided with rich stucco decorations. The storefront of the front facade is rusticated on the ground floor as is the entire projecting section. Furthermore, the house has on the front a corniced cornice and frieze with stone consoles and a string course. The wall openings on the ground floor are provided with round arches, on the upper storey with segmental arches. The hard stone balcony above the front door rests on heavy stone consoles. The outbuildings are built of hand-moulded brick laid in cross-bond. Their front facades are plastered. The gable of the coach house has a stepped frieze, that of the servant's dwelling is plain. Originally the gable termination here was identical to that of the coach house. The wall openings are provided with brick-laid cock's combs with rounded upper corners. All roofs are covered with natural stone slate. The corner rafters have zinc edge strips. In the house there are two cellars, one with a stone vault and the other with a wooden beam ceiling with brick arches between them. Partially above the later-added lowered ceilings, the original stucco ceilings are still present.
In front of the house lies a frontal step with hard stone border between which are yellow square terracotta tiles with geometric decoration.
The forecourt is closed off at the Bogardeind by wrought ironwork between brick pilasters.
