Omschrijving onderdeel 5:
BRUG met POORT, in oorsprong XVIIa, in 1880 en ongeveer 1965 ingrijpend gerestaureerd, c.q. opnieuw opgetrokken; bakstenen brug met ijzeren leuningen staande op natuurstenen afdekplaten; vier exact halfronde bogen, waartussen fraaie Y-vormige ankers. Aan het einde (eilandzijde) van de brug de min of meer vierkante bakstenen poortmuur met kantelen; daarin de ronde poortdoorgang, die omlijst is met een band van afwisselend hardsteen en zandsteen; daarnaast pilasters in dezelfde steensoorten, aan de bovenzijde verbonden door een zandstenen kroonlijst; hierop een polychrome wapensteen met aan weerszijden cartouches met zwaarden; boven de pilasters bolvormige bekroningen in hoogreliëf; nieuwe houten poortdeuren in Renaissancestijl, bovenzijde ajour.

BRIDGE with GATEWAY, originally first half of 17th century, thoroughly restored in 1880 and approximately 1965, respectively rebuilt; brick bridge with iron railings standing on natural stone coping; four precisely semicircular arches, between which fine Y-shaped anchors. At the end (island side) of the bridge the roughly square brick gateway wall with crenellations; therein the round gateway passage, which is framed with a band of alternating hardstone and sandstone; alongside pilasters in the same stone types, connected at the top by a sandstone cornice; on this a polychrome heraldic stone with cartouches containing swords on either side; above the pilasters spherical cresting in high relief; new wooden gateway doors in Renaissance style, upper part openwork.
