Omschrijving onderdeel 1: KASTEEL, baksteen, in oorsprong 13e eeuws; na brand van 1525 herbouwd in XVIIa met latere uitbreidingen, XVIId en XVIIIa; in 1880 ingrijpend gerestaureerd; kelders en onderstukken van de twee torens nog middeleeuws, overige bouwdelen later; het centrale deel tussen de twee torens heeft twee bouwlagen op een zeer hoog onderhuis; daarboven een kap met grijze leien tussen trapgevels, kantelen langs dakvoet; linker toren met 5 lagen en vierkante spits met lei; rechter toren met 4 lagen en achtkantige spits met lei gedekt; links van centrale bouwmassa, terugliggend achter de toren een 4 bouwlagen hoge bouwmassa onder lessenaarsdak met grijze pannen; rechts van het centrale deel een blokvormig bouwdeel, XVIIIa, met een plat dak en kantelen, 3 bouwlagen hoog, 3 ramen breed; in dit bouwdeel is de ingangspartij met geblokte omlijsting geplaatst; hierachter twee kleinere bouwdelen van één laag onder schilddaken met grijze pannen; alle ramen met meerruits vensters.

Description component 1: CASTLE, brick, originally 13th century; after fire of 1525 rebuilt in first half of 17th century with later extensions, second half of 17th century and first half of 18th century; thoroughly restored in 1880; cellars and lower parts of the two towers still medieval, other building parts later; the central section between the two towers has two storeys on a very high basement; above this a roof with grey slate between stepped gables, crenellations along the roof edge; left tower with 5 storeys and square spire with slate; right tower with 4 storeys and octagonal spire with slate covering; to the left of the central building mass, set back behind the tower a 4-storey high building mass under a lean-to roof with grey tiles; to the right of the central section a block-shaped building section, first half of 18th century, with a flat roof and crenellations, 3 storeys high, 3 windows wide; in this building section the entrance section with rusticated surround is placed; behind this two smaller building sections of one storey under hipped roofs with grey tiles; all windows with multi-light windows.
