Inleiding
Een HEK in Neo-classicistische trant vormt de toegang tot het kerkhof omgeven met een dichte windsingel. De kerk is, volgens de gedenksteen aan de westzijde, in 1873 gebouwd. Het hekwerk zal omstreeks dezelfde tijd zijn opgericht.
Omschrijving
Het hekwerk bestaat uit twee gietijzeren hekstijlen met aan de buitenzijde voluutachtige, smeedijzeren vaste zijstukken en aan de binnenzijde smeedijzeren draaibare hekken. Het smeedwerk is met sierlijke krullen uitgevoerd. Op de gecanneleerde gietijzeren hekstijlen staat een gietijzeren vaas in de vorm van een klassieke krater met een gietijzeren agave.
Waardering
Het ijzeren toegangshek tot de begraafplaats uit omstreeks 1873 is van algemene cultuurhistorische waarde:
- als essentieel onderdeel van het complex,
- als exemplarisch voorbeeld van Neo-classicistische uitvoering van hekwerken,
- vanwege de hoge mate van esthetische kwaliteit van uitvoering,

A GATE in Neo-classical style forms the entrance to the churchyard surrounded by a dense shelter belt. The church was, according to the memorial stone on the west side, built in 1873. The gate work will have been erected around the same time.

The gate work consists of two cast iron gate posts with volute-like, wrought iron fixed side pieces on the outside and wrought iron rotating gates on the inside. The wrought work is executed with graceful curls. On the fluted cast iron gate posts stands a cast iron vase in the form of a classical krater with a cast iron agave.
Valuation
The iron entrance gate to the burial ground from approximately 1873 is of general cultural-historical value:
- as an essential component of the complex,
- as an exemplary example of Neo-classical execution of gate works,
- because of the high degree of aesthetic quality of execution,
- because of the high degree of integrity.
