Inleiding
Het Pietà-GRAFMONUMENT voor Pastoor Evers, staande op de begraafplaats behorende bij de rooms-katholieke St. Vitus te Blauwhuis (gewijd 1872), is in 1892 vervaardigd. Het graf bevindt zich aan de noordzijde van het terrein, vlakbij de sloot, achter de Calvarieberg en is naar het oosten gericht. Het slecht leesbare opschrift o het basement zegt: "Gedenk uwen geestelijke leidsman den Wel. Eerw. Heer G.J. EVERS, geb. te Zwolle 8 jan. 1824 Pastoor Sensmeer (Blauwhuis), 8 maart voorzien van de H.H. Sacramenten overl. 26 nov. 1892. R.I.P.".
Omschrijving
Het stenen grafmonument van Evers bestaat uit een breed, zeshoekig en hoog basement op een grote rechthoekige betonnen plaat en is samengesteld uit geprofileerde delen. In het deel boven de voet zijn op ieder zijde visblaasjes en rechthoekige vlakjes met versierde randen als decoratieve elementen ingehakt. Hierboven zit de plaat voor de inscriptie en rondom een band bestaand uit een gotisch boogmotief. Op het hoge basement een Pietà: Maria met de gestorven Christus op schoot.
Waardering

The Pietà GRAVE MONUMENT for Pastor Evers, standing on the cemetery belonging to the Roman Catholic St. Vitus at Blauwhuis (consecrated 1872), was made in 1892. Description
The stone grave monument of Evers consists of a broad, hexagonal and high base on a large rectangular concrete slab and is composed of profiled sections.
