Inleiding
KOETSHUIS behorend bij het rooms-katholieke kerkelijke complex St. Vitus te Blauwhuis uit 1867-1871. Architect van het complex was P.J.H. Cuypers, opzichter van de bouwwerkzaamheden architect C.H. Peters, aannemer O.H. Schuurmans uit IJlst. Het koetshuis is gebouwd in een Ambachtelijke-traditionele bouwtrant waarin Art Nouveau elementen zijn toegepast. Het koetshuis staat aan de oostkant van het terrein, achter de kerk en is naar het zuiden gericht.
Omschrijving
Het KOETSHUIS, op rechthoekige plattegrond, is één bouwlaag hoog en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak met leien. Het is opgetrokken in bruine baksteen met gele baksteen voor de decoratieve gevelbanden. In de zuidgevel lichtgetoogde dubbele houten deuren;in de oostgevel een houten deur en een negenruitsvenster met ijzeren roedenverdeling.
Waardering
Het koetshuis, behorende bij het rooms-katholieke kerkelijke complex St. Vitus te Blauwhuis (gewijd 1872) is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:

Introduction
COACH HOUSE belonging to the Roman Catholic ecclesiastical complex St. Vitus at Blauwhuis from 1867-1871. Architect of the complex was P.J.H. Cuypers, supervisor of the building works was architect C.H. Peters, contractor O.H. Schuurmans from IJlst. The coach house is built in a Craftsman-traditional building style in which Art Nouveau elements are applied. The coach house stands on the east side of the site, behind the church and is oriented towards the south.
Description
The COACH HOUSE, on a rectangular ground plan, is one storey high and is covered by a gabled roof with slate. It is constructed of brown brick with yellow brick for the decorative facade bands. In the south facade arched double wooden doors; in the east facade a wooden door and a nine-paned window with iron glazing bars.

The coach house, belonging to the Roman Catholic ecclesiastical complex St. Vitus at Blauwhuis (consecrated 1872) is of general cultural-historical importance:
