Omschrijving
In het zuidwestelijk deel van het park bevindt zich een kunststenen HERINNERINGSBANK, ontworpen in orthogonale stijl en opgedragen aan de oud-burgemeester Henri Paul Jules Tutein Nolthenius. Het ontwerp dateert uit 1932 en is van de hand van de Apeldoornse houtsnijder en beeldhouwer Pieter Puype (1874-1942). De bank bestaat uit een vijftal hoge rechthoekige stukken steen, in hoogte aflopend van het midden naar de zijkanten. Aan zowel voor- als achterzijde bevindt zich in het midden een plantenbak met aan weerszijden een houten bank, rustend op stenen sokkels. De voorzijde bevat in het middelste paneel de beeltenis van Tutein Nolthenius met daaronder zijn naam. Daaronder de tekst: 'was burgemeester van Apeldoorn en Vlissingen. Hij beschermde de kunst e/h ambacht'. De voorzijde van de plantenbak heeft een (familie)wapen met daaronder de tekst 'Voluntate potestas'. Het linker paneel bevat een gestileerde vrouwenfiguur met een wapenschild met daarin drie lege wapenschilden en het onderschrift 'kunst'. Het rechter paneel bevat een gestileerde mannenfiguur met hamer en aambeeld en het onderschrift 'ambacht'. De achterzijde bevat in het middelste paneel de tekst 'Hulde. De Apeldoornsche en Vlissingsche burgerij, vrienden en vereerders'. De plantenbak heeft de tekst 'Onthuld 5 maart 1932'. Het linker paneel het wapen van Vlissingen met daaronder '16 sept 1888 - 17 juli 1879'. Het rechter paneel het wapen van Apeldoorn met daaronder '1 aug 1879 - 1 juli 1910'. De bank is gesigneerd op de linker zijkant.

Description
In the south-western part of the park there is an artificial stone MEMORIAL BENCH, designed in orthogonal style and dedicated to former Mayor Henri Paul Jules Tutein Nolthenius. The design dates from 1932 and is by the hand of Apeldoorn wood-carver and sculptor Pieter Puype (1874-1942). The bench consists of five tall rectangular pieces of stone, decreasing in height from the centre to the sides. On both front and back sides in the centre there is a flower box with a wooden bench on either side, resting on stone plinths. The front contains in the central panel the likeness of Tutein Nolthenius with his name below. Below the text: 'was mayor of Apeldoorn and Vlissingen. He protected art and craft'. The front of the flower box has a (family) coat of arms with below the text 'Voluntate potestas'. The left panel contains a stylised female figure with a shield with three empty coats of arms and the inscription 'art'. The right panel contains a stylised male figure with hammer and anvil and the inscription 'craft'. The back contains in the central panel the text 'Homage. The citizens of Apeldoorn and Vlissingen, friends and admirers'. The flower box has the text 'Unveiled 5 March 1932'.
