19e- eeuws grafmonument van algemeen belang vanwege de kunsthistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van grafkunst. Tevens vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van de begraafplaats 'Soestbergen'.

GRAVE MONUMENT (bay 5, grave no. 228E) in the form of an obelisk on a profiled straight base, executed in granite according to the inscription dedicated to: "professor J. Doedes professor at Utrecht, born 20 November 1817 / entered into the joy of his Lord 17 December 1897 / His former students".
