In eclectische trant uitgevoerd GRAFMONUMENT (vak 9, grafnr 36), blijkens de inscriptie ter nagedachtenis van Van Oort, bestaande uit een stèle en twee liggende hardstenen dekplaten. Stèle op sokkel, met aan weerszijden een hangende toorts, op de stèle een ronde naamplaat omsloten door Ouroboros (een zich in de staart bijtende slang) het geheel bekroond met een half rond fronton waarbinnen een gevleugelde zandloper is afgebeeld.
Liggende steen rechts met tekst:" HIER RUST/ Maria Lidewina Anna van Schevikhoven geb. van Oort/ geb. 1868 - overl. 1912 / en Dirk Petrus Hermanu van Oort/ geboren 3 februari 1865/ overleden 23 augustus 1921.
Linker liggende steen met deels door verwering en begroeiing onleesbare tekst.

19e-eeuws grafmonument met voor de grafcultuur kenmerkende symboliek, van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van grafkunst. Tevens vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van de begraafplaats 'Soestbergen'.

Description
GRAVE MONUMENT (bay 9, grave no. 36) executed in eclectic style, according to the inscription in memory of Van Oort, consisting of a stele and two recumbent sandstone cover plates. Stele on base, with a hanging torch on both sides, on the stele a round name plaque enclosed by the Ouroboros (a snake biting its own tail) the whole crowned with a semi-circular pediment within which a winged hourglass is depicted.
Recumbent stone on the right with text: "HERE RESTS / Maria Lidewina Anna van Schevikhoven née van Oort / born 1868 - died 1912 / and Dirk Petrus Hermanu van Oort / born 3 February 1865 / died 23 August 1921".
Left recumbent stone with text partly illegible due to weathering and growth.
Valuation
19th-century grave monument with symbolism characteristic of grave culture, of general importance because of its cultural-historical value as a characteristic example of funerary art. Also because of its funerary-historical value as part of the Soestbergen cemetery.
