GRAFMONUMENT (vak 7, grafnr 5) voor de familie Schuyt, bestaande uit grote met hardstenen platen gedekte sokkel met bij de vier hoeken in gietijzer uitgevoerde zandlopers op vierkante hardstenen plinten en in het midden een neoclassicistische stéle in gietijzer, met geprofileerde basementen op rechte plint, zich licht verjongende vierkante schacht en overkragende bekroning met frontons en acroteria. Op de schacht aan de oostzijde het opschrift "DE FAMILIE SCHUYT" boven twee gespreide vleugels in reliëf; in het midden van de frontons reliëfs van een vijfpuntige ster; de acroteria zijn voorzien van maskers. Grafkelder afgedekt met stenen platen.

19e-eeuwse grafmonument met voor de grafcultuur kenmerkende symboliek en bijzonder materiaalgebruik, behorende tot begraafplaats 'Soestbergen' en als zodanig van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en funerair historische waarde.

Description
GRAVE MONUMENT (bay 7, grave no. 5) for the Schuyt family, consisting of a large base covered with sandstone slabs with hourglasses in cast iron executed at the four corners on square sandstone plinths and in the centre a neoclassical stele in cast iron, with profiled bases on a straight plinth, a slightly tapering square shaft and a projecting coping with pediments and acroteria. On the shaft on the east side the inscription "THE SCHUYT FAMILY" above two spread wings in relief; in the centre of the pediments reliefs of a five-pointed star; the acroteria are decorated with masks. Grave vault covered with stone slabs.
Valuation
19th-century grave monument with symbolism characteristic of grave culture and distinctive use of materials, belonging to the Soestbergen cemetery and as such of general importance because of its cultural and funerary-historical value.
