GRAFMONUMENT (vak 5, grafnr 53H) bestaande uit liggende steen en staand element in de vorm van een tempeltje, beide van hardsteen, stenen banden om de liggende steen. Op de liggende steen de tekst: " Mr. J.D. D'Aulnis de Bourouil oud hoogleraar/ 9 april 1850 / (symbool kruis) 5 september 1930" en " E.W.M. D`Aulnis de Bourouil - Twiss/ 16 september 1853 / (symbool kruis) 6 november 1934". Onderaan de steen in opgelegde letters "D'Aulnis de Bourouil" . Het tempeltje staat op een sokkel met twee eenvoudige rechte zuilen, gestileerde kapitelen en een strak uitgevoerd hoofdgestel.
Waardering
20e-eeuws grafmonument in strakke, sobere vormgeving van algemeen belang vanwege de kunsthistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van grafkunst, tevens vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van de begraafplaats Soestbergen.

GRAVE MONUMENT (bay 5, grave no. 53H) consisting of a recumbent stone and a standing element in the form of a small temple, both of sandstone, stone bands around the recumbent stone. On the recumbent stone the text: "Mr. J.D. D'Aulnis de Bourouil former professor / 9 April 1850 / (cross symbol) 5 September 1930" and "E.W.M. D'Aulnis de Bourouil - Twiss / 16 September 1853 / (cross symbol) 6 November 1934". At the bottom of the stone in applied letters "D'Aulnis de Bourouil". The small temple stands on a base with two simple straight columns, stylised capitals and a strictly executed entablature.
Valuation
20th-century grave monument in strict, sober design of general importance because of its art-historical value as a characteristic example of funerary art, also because of its funerary-historical value as part of the Soestbergen cemetery.
