In eclectische trant uitgevoerde GRAFKELDER, blijkens het reliëf boven de ingang, bestemd voor de familie van Beuningen (vak 5, grafnummer 508), in de vorm van een grafhuisje, geheel met hardsteen bekleed, omringd door schuin aflopende dekplaten op een sokkel, waarin gietijzeren luchtroosters.
Het huisgedeelte heeft een met afdeklijsten afgesloten puntgevel, waarin een dubbele boogvormige strokendeur met siergehengen, een geprofileerde rondboognis met ondermeer een gebogen tandfries en twee gestileerde pijnappels; bij de hoeken gestileerde colonetten en rozetten; op de schouderstukken en in de middelste bekroning een combinatie van blad- en bloemmotieven; het zadeldak heeft hogel-achtige bekroningen op de nokvorst en de langsgevels worden afgesloten door een rondboogfries.
Waardering
19e-eeuwse familiegrafkelder van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische - en kunsthistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van grafkunst en vanwege de verbondenheid met de familie van Beuningen. Grave vault executed in eclectic style, evidenced by the relief above the entrance, intended for the Van Beuningen family (plot 5, grave number 508), in the form of a grave chapel, entirely clad with hard stone, surrounded by sloping coping slabs on a base, in which cast iron air vents.
The chapel part has a pointed gable closed off with coping strips, in which a double arched barred door with ornamental hinges, a profiled round-arch niche with among other things a curved tooth frieze and two stylised pineapples; at the corners stylised colonettes and rosettes; on the shoulder pieces and in the central coping a combination of leaf and floral motifs; the gabled roof has crocket-like crownings on the ridge and the longitudinal facades are closed off by a round-arch frieze.
Valuation
19th-century family grave vault of general importance due to its cultural and art-historical value as a characteristic example of grave art and due to its connection with the Van Beuningen family. Also due to its funerary-historical value as part of the cemetery 'Soestbergen'.
