Omschrijving
In oorsprong 17e eeuws landhuis behorende bij de voormalige buitenplaats 'Soestbergen', doch omstreeks 1830 verbouwd tot DIRECTEURSWONING bij de gelijknamige begraafplaats tevens bekend staand als 'Eerste Algemene Begraafplaats'. Het pand bestaat uit twee woningen ter weerszijden van het begraafplaatskantoor op rechthoekige plattegrond. Links en rechts bevindt zich een toegangshek bestaande uit een dubbel draaihek.
Het twee bouwlagen tellende pand onder omlopend, met donkergrijze pannen gedekt schilddak en geprofileerde gootlijst heeft aan beide korte zijden een lage plat afgedekte aanbouw met rechte gootlijsten en rondom witgepleisterde gevels. De vijf venster-assen brede voorgevel heeft in het midden de hoofd ingang met smalle vleugeldeuren en bovenlicht en voorts schuifvensters met onder een vierruits verdeling.
De gevels van de aanbouwen hebben aan de straatzijde elk een eenvoudig omlijste ingangspartij met dubbele paneeldeuren en een boogvormig, in vieren onderverdeeld bovenlicht. De linkerzijgevel heeft boven de aanbouw twee T-vensters nabij de hoeken en in de aanbouw drie later aangebrachte vensters. De rechterzijgevel heeft boven de aanbouw links een T-venster en in de aanbouw een drietal getoogde stalvensters.
De vijf venster-assen brede achtergevel heeft een enkelvoudige deur met bovenlicht in het midden en verder zesruits schuifvensters. De aanbouwen zijn aan de achterzijde voorzien van eenvoudige deuren.
De op de rooilijn gelegen, links en rechts van het hoofdgebouw gesitueerd identiek dubbel draaihek, beide bestaande uit identieke houten gesneden pijlers met casementen waartussen eenvoudig spijlenhek.
Waardering
In verschillende perioden tot stand gekomen hoofdgebouw van 'Soestbergen' met twee toegangshekken met 17e en voornamelijk 19e-eeuwse aspecten, van algemeen belang vanwege de bouwhistorische - en architectuurhistorische waarden en vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van begraafplaats 'Soestbergen'.

Description
Originally a 17th century country house belonging to the former country estate 'Soestbergen', but rebuilt around 1830 into a DIRECTOR'S RESIDENCE at the cemetery of the same name also known as 'First General Cemetery'. The building consists of two dwellings either side of the cemetery office on a rectangular plan. On the left and right there is an access gate consisting of a double revolving gate.
The two-storey building with continuous, dark grey tile-covered hipped roof and moulded gutter has on both short sides a low flat-roofed extension with straight gutters and whitewashed facades all around. The five-window-bay wide front facade has in the centre the main entrance with narrow double doors and fanlight and furthermore sash windows with a four-light division below.
The facades of the extensions have on the street side each a simply framed entrance arrangement with double panelled doors and an arched, four-light fanlight. The left side facade has above the extension two T-windows near the corners and in the extension three later inserted windows. The right side facade has above the extension on the left a T-window and in the extension three arched stable windows.
The five-window-bay wide rear facade has a single door with fanlight in the centre and furthermore six-light sash windows. The extensions are provided with simple doors on the rear side.
The double revolving gate situated on the building line, located to the left and right of the main building identical in both cases, each consisting of identical hand-carved wooden pillars with casements and between them simple spindle fence.
Valuation
Main building of 'Soestbergen' created in different periods with two access gates with 17th and primarily 19th-century aspects, of general importance by virtue of its building-historical and architectural-historical values and by virtue of its funerary-historical value as part of the 'Soestbergen' cemetery.
